OP genuinely deserves a ban just for sheer stupidity

Kanye is the greatest hip hop producer of all time and he was the greatest before MBDTF even released.

Did I say he didn't? He's still in my top 5 producers.

Fans IRL and on Reddit act like he made the entirety of MBDTF by himself.

Maybe entertain the thought that the man has help and would not be even close to what he is now without the contributions of others.

that’s a skill in production you dunce. being able to collaborate and bring the best out of your collaborators is why he is up there with quincy

There’s producer-beatmaking & producing a track with multiple beatmakers in collaboration.

Think about it like project management.

also kanye a producer in the classical sense jamie foxx said one time how when he came by to make slow jamz he would be over singing the hook like mad then kanye told him how to sing it and he did it how ye asked him to. producers don’t just “make beats” it’s arrangement etc he even gave hov the hook for lucifer too

he doesn't do much on his own music
these days, be it songwriting or even production. but that doesn't mean u can discredit his earlier work. kanye was definitely elite

    prime ye top 5 ever

Keep defending him, by saying "he credits everyone in the room".

I know music is collaborative, but his stans act like his makes every beat in a locked room by himself.

I didnt even say this so I have no idea what you're talking about

Ye finds a song to sample and either chops it up with the Akai or he has a musician replay it on a different instrument and he does the drums on the MPC. This right here is literally the foundation of all his beats (Example: all the Daytona beats

Getting Co-producers like Mike Dean or Boogz Da Beast is literally apart of the process

Dude literally plans out the song before anyone does anything

  • Jan 23, 2021

He produced like 90% of CD

His beats were the blueprint for the blueprint

He produced you dont know my name

    He produced 90% of be

    He produced 99% of daytona

And there's more than that like cmon op

So you mean as a beatmaker. Yeah, I think people know he’s not grinding away at the beats on all his albums, that stopped after Late Registration. (Jon Brion helped bring it to that Fiona Apple type sound but Kanye was doing beatmaker stuff still). once his music started to reach heights away from traditional hip hop is where i think he started playing more of a Producer role, the Quincy Jones s***

  • Jan 23, 2021

Where is Jon Brion’s Late Registration

    Where is Toomp’s Graduation

    Where is Hudson Mohawke’s Yeezus

    Where is Jeff Bhasker’s MBDTF

    Where is No ID’s 808s

Nowhere to be found , the co-producer argument is so tired
