As much as I doubt Kanye, I think it's impossible to have so many classics in a row without being gifted. Now we have, for example, Dj Khaled who has access to limitless artists but his albums are still nowhere close to Kanye's.

I don't think that Kanye is overhyped, and I was making threads on ktt-ktt2 for ages debating that it's actually less Kanye input equals drop in quality, and it's obvious on his last works.

This happens in every industry tho. The head designer of a fashion house doesn’t do as much work as the other designers and workers. The tech owner doesn’t do as much work as he did at the beginning of the company, yet he’s still the face of it.

I think it’s kind of absurd tbh to expect Kanye to load up Logic Studios and make his songs on his own. It’s also dumb imo to think having people work on his stuff takes away from the artistry he puts on it

there is a big difference between being a producer and being a simple beatmaker. you dont have to do it all yourself to be considered a producer. a producer curates the vision of the project and guides everyone working with him to get to the end result.

just because he isnt necessarily the one pressing the buttons and doing the technical work doesnt take away from the overall vision that is achieved, considering that nobody has a vision for music like kanye does
