Can never take the classics away from Ye but he’s soiled his discography putting out some piss projects sprinkled in wit highs. And now that he’s using AI I’m afraid he’s not done burning down the kitchen
This is the definitive take imo.
His discography was perfect almost too good but he's been on a steady decline since Pablo (which is still a 9.5/10) album but you can hear the first signs of wackness on there
Didn’t they do like 50 tracks together at one point
He was on all day and tlop etc
Seemed like they were cool at least
Ye rode the wave for sure but after he's spent the past decade begging specifically Drake to ghostwrite for him (and tried to make music like him) it's become clearer what kind of rap music he likes nowadays
You can thank Yachty and Uzi for starting the trend of “look how cool I am, Who’s biggie?”
uzi knows his history and respects the ogs he just acted like being old was lame
yachty def was on some ignorant s*** though
Yeah a lot of niggas on this website did not grow up with parents that even listened to rap and weren’t immersed in rap culture at all until they discovered Kanye and expect me to have the same opinions as them
I was raised on hip hop purely , my perspective is gonna be different
I deadass had rap out the womb growing up. Think i heard its dark and hell is hot+flesh of my flesh at 4 or 5 and not stopped since.
My big bro is the one that put me on with him being put on by my cousins years back around 97. Ive pretty much heard every legends act at least twice fr
I never got the impression he was a big fan of Kendrick's music, this is expected
He’s also extremely jealous when anyone else is getting the attention in hip hop

Yeah I actually feel like Uzi was just trying to defend their style rather than s*** on others.
It was more like Yachty & Lil Xan

Same s*** here
Thats why it irritates me when people get mad at my personal taste bc I genuinely have given every legendary rapper the proper time of day

Nah Uzi helped start it with that “I ain’t rapping on no old ass beats, I’m a rockstar” bullshit
If you consider yourself a hip-hop head and haven’t listened to Hovs prime catalog then you’re missing out big time
I understand why the current generation of kids wouldn’t like it tho. It’s highly lyrical and the production may feel dated to them

Death of Autotune, Run this Town, Empire State of Mind, Already Home, on to the next one, young forever. In retrospect that s*** was crazy lmao
Did run this town get used by the NBA playoffs that year? I always associated that song with ball like it was second nature
S*** was so lame man lol
Had me mad af
Yachty was like “I’m speaking for the kids”
Like mf we about the same age
Kendrick and Cole don’t portray a big enough lifestyle for Kanye to think they’re cool
He lowkey acts like a suburban white kid
The first sentence is correct
He acts like an idiot
He’s also extremely jealous when anyone else is getting the attention in hip hop
That's true but he never speaks about Kendrick with a lot of jealousy and envy like how it bleeds out of him anytime Drake is brought up
People on this website have hardly listened to his discography
You got people on this site calling albums like Vol 1 trash, like bruh u havent even heard it. Its 2 terrible songs and 12 all timers
I had Jays verse from Can I Get A fully memorized within a few months of Vol 2 coming out
Did run this town get used by the NBA playoffs that year? I always associated that song with ball like it was second nature
It was either that or Forever both of those songs were running the NBA for a while lmao
That's true but he never speaks about Kendrick with a lot of jealousy and envy like how it bleeds out of him anytime Drake is brought up
Give it time
Because he’s never even spoke about Kendrick at all till now. If Kendrick’s run continues the hate will start spewing
Multiple rappers tried to get an A Milli type song around that time it was kinda nasty lol
Those Bangladesh drums couldn't be 100% copied.
I think his music being unavailable on streaming for years, as well as him owning a competitor to Spotify and AM is why so many younger people are unfamiliar. Spotify isn’t exactly gonna favor the discover algorithm for a guy that is trying to eat into their market share
Yea for sure. Accessibility is a key factor in this as well
