He was conservative on social issues? Lmao what else would that mean? The entire purpose of NOI is to bring faith and responsibility to the Black community. Strict marriage values, strict educational values, strict religious values. Abstinence from d**** and alcohol. Strict gender roles and so on. Not very liberal imo.

Oh no my bad I was still talking about Malcolm I have no foundation for saying MLK was socially conservative I don’t know that much about him.
And yeah he broke off from NOI but was still Muslim and preaching similar things.
Point is you’re right Malcolm X was not a Republican sympathizer and it’s gross seeing the same kind of people that would call the Black Panthers a terrorist organization try to re-write Malcolm’s history.

While this isn't to absolve Biden of his role in the crime bill and its effect, nor flip your opinion on it, I think its important we make an effort to contextualize things, especially what will be distant past for many of us.
A while back I wrote a post on the subject and we've had some good back and forth recently so I hope you take a look, in case there is any new information or understanding brought to light. It was an area I was personally motivated to dig deeper into to find some sense of reconciliation.

nice writeup, its been exhausting trying to inform people that the crime bill largely had the support of black leaders and that biden isnt solely to blame for it

Yeah I remember this thread just reread it to refresh my memory.
You brought up a lot of good points and I’m not sitting here claiming that Biden is the KKK leader Republican opportunists are trying to paint him out to be. But he is still responsible for his actions, in the same way Reagan and Clinton are for signing these terrible bills proposed by Congress. I see Biden in the same light I see Bloomberg. I don’t think he’s so racist to the point that he hates all Black people. I just think he inherently sees us as inferior. Same with Bloomberg and same with Trump. Trump just actually caters to racists in the country but in terms of actual policy the Black community is perhaps the group he’s hurt the least. Much less than Biden.
Either way f*** Trump I kinda want Biden to win anyway at this point.
