nah i mean a lot of the org still helping people at the smaller levels but they did fumble when they tied it in with capitalism the way they did

Yeah the organization took a hit when people found out about what they were doing with money. But that never took away from the overall message imo since people are still on that time without acknowledging the actual org. I don’t think people have been rocking with the actual org for a couple years now.

I guess the better question is based upon what you are saying did we need a movement or organization to say black lives matter and that we weren't properly covered in mainstream media or art? Did the movement exist before the organization in many ways? Don't we have a natural unity?

The art or the intentions of the shirt really don't matter. As the artist,Ye needs to understand what he's trying to say before he says it,because theres a real world out there that sees that phrase and thinks of every innocent black person affected by the type of people who agree with that phrase.

We didn’t need it, people been on the wave before 2015 but in 2015 it was a turning point and people were fed up and chose to band together to make our voices heard. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that. Nationwide protests was the outcome of everyone coming together.

I think dude is trying to say that a bunch of uninvited minorities(whether black or reject fashion designers inside Ye's camp)had the audacity to make a shirt promoting WLM,even if it its supposedly "satirical".

eh its funny you say this (maybe im reading ur post wrong) cus i think they r in support of this.. (so maybe audacity isn't a pejorative here) cus the person whose story it was seemed 2 b there in support

just maybe like..this is what it looks like to everyone else when white people co-opt black things..aesthetics, etc

not wearing it though and honestlyyyy its all not my cup of tea

he is literally currently mad at all of these white people in the fashion world, GAP, Adidas, Chase and y'all really think his message isn't ironic

"think of every innocent black person affected by the type of people who agree with that phrase"

y'all consistently do this proxy morals thing

tbh im not surprised kanye has gone increasingly into the fascist hole because fascism is primarily a politics of emotion and feeling, pure aesthetics with little to no intellectual content

it is emblematic of ye himself in recent years

ofc ye went to trump and candace owens because that is what they offered, a politics of aesthetics held together by feelings and emotions, pure resentment towards the Other, whatever that may be

Kanye said himself Trump had "dragon energy", no other way to interpret it than he was enthralled by Trump on an emotional level

I'm sorry but I am not seeing 2022 Kanye that can't connect words to a beat being able to connect all of these dots

I mean what happens next will show that I guess if anything happens. But yes we get it you think Ye is dumb

Yea,thats one thing i really couldn't read, was whether or not this person supported, but looks like they do. I think alot of people are gonna say they get "it" without agreeing with "it" tho.

yeah maybe if you disregard everything hes done over the last 7 years, that he mourned the queen or that he is literally standing next to candace owens, then this would make sense

same way 'white lives matter' would be a totally fine slogan if you magically reversed the last 400 years of history and its ongoing effects 👍🏾
