he is literally currently mad at all of these white people in the fashion world, GAP, Adidas, Chase and y'all really think his message isn't ironic

"think of every innocent black person affected by the type of people who agree with that phrase"

y'all consistently do this proxy morals thing

No matter what, the tee is a bad joke. Im talking about a tasteless joke.

yeah maybe if you disregard everything hes done over the last 7 years, that he mourned the queen or that he is literally standing next to candace owens, then this would make sense

same way 'white lives matter' would be a totally fine slogan if you magically reversed the last 400 years of history and its ongoing effects 👍🏾

like i said in another post...its not really a coherent line of that with the rest of his messaging...

i just kinda posted it as an example of someone out there giving him the benefit of the doubt...def not me tho lol

tbh im not surprised kanye has gone increasingly into the fascist hole because fascism is primarily a politics of emotion and feeling, pure aesthetics with little to no intellectual content

it is emblematic of ye himself in recent years

ofc ye went to trump and candace owens because that is what they offered, a politics of aesthetics held together by feelings and emotions, pure resentment towards the Other, whatever that may be

Kanye said himself Trump had "dragon energy", no other way to interpret it than he was enthralled by Trump on an emotional level

oh we on that type of time rn

You think Candace Owens also “gets” the message and wears the shirt for the same reason as Ye?

    say the words.

say not tweet not wear say

I covered the protest here and know people from various circles. My point being Black lives matter is often said in reaction to tragedy so I was like we aren't just saying it to each other randomly. I have said for multiple post in here the same notion but every single reply you are condescending so we can just end this

The art or the intentions of the shirt really don't matter. As the artist,Ye needs to understand what he's trying to say before he says it,because theres a real world out there that sees that phrase and thinks of every innocent black person affected by the type of people who agree with that phrase.

But that's the problem isn't it, you are saying that there is a real world out there that sees something like this and acts a certain way but guess what there is even a realer world out there who don't give a f*** about whats written on the back of a shirt in paris france because their entire 24 hours in a day are based around surviving and feeding their family and there are billions of people in that world.

Yeah the organization took a hit when people found out about what they were doing with money. But that never took away from the overall message imo since people are still on that time without acknowledging the actual org. I don’t think people have been rocking with the actual org for a couple years now.

the org itself is not even made up of most of the original grassroots people in Ferguson etc

They're huge disgraceful scammers but you're absolutely correct, the importance of the slogan itself can never waver

it’s not that any of this can’t be true it’s that nobody really cares anymore

like it doesn’t even do harm anymore. the antics are just annoying and have proven to not “shift culture” in any meaningful way.

the main priority is to get attention bc that’s what makes them money. it’s that simple and looking at it any deeper is a waste of time sad as it to say but ye don’t have much else to say anymore other then “my work speaks for itself”
