Him wearing a maga hat (something half the country did btw) is not him “dishing it out” it’s just him expressing himself same as the millions of Americans that voted for trump. And yet he was personally dragged through the mud for it
Same for saying White Lives Matter
He’s not saying black lives don’t matter lol he arguably cares more about black lives and has done more for them than the majority of the people that champion the BLM Organization (not the ideology)
The point is… he gets attacked for saying what he personally believes. That’s not “dishing out” attacks on people like people do to him.
The back lash from the slavery comment was warranted though bc that was dishing it out towards a specific group. I don’t think anything else has been
Ye dik so far down your throat you didn't even bother to corroborate the bs you typed
Ye's disdain for books is baffling considering he was raised by an English professor, and his music was very socially conscious back then
Dude was literally reading books in 2018

low-key think his mom's career in education is what turned him off of reading. she probably tried drilling it into him
no one asked

Cormac Mccarthy's books can be a challenging read because of his lack of quotations and the complex words he uses, but he is a phenomenal writer
I'd recommend to start with reading 'The Road' if you wanna give his books a chance, a really bleak book but good af
Being denied access to his kids whenever he wants and not being able to indoctrinate them into his “school” 24/7 has put this man in a really bad space.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the JIK era, but that was a really positive sweet era in comparison.
Getting a 68 million dollar tax break for syncophantic jesus concerts doesn’t feel positive or sweet in retrospect
So what do you like, the way the shapes of the letters interact with each other? Lmao
nah just the font and the words together look cool just the messaging can't get with

is that book what the movie The Road was based on?
Azealia tldr is that she compared the WLM tee to the first Pastelle jacket because BLM is a scam and white liberals are going to white liberals
ngl I kind of like the hat but the message is dumb
🤔

I think it’s just insecurity
It’s fine if you don’t like reading, just don’t act enlightened for not lol
I agree that white folks got all pissy when BLM started and had to do the Blue Lives Matter etc. s*** bc they felt compelled to be hurt and obtuse about its meaning. BUT Black Lives Matter as a slogan and headline of a movement isn’t the best. It inherently invited the reaction that it got. It’s inflammatory by its very nature because that’s the way things need to be on social media to catch any real attention.
Obviously this is not speaking on the intent of the slogan, which was righteous, just the language
I think unarmed black people regularly dying at the hands of those who are meant to protect them is more inflammatory, the slogan was formed as a response to that. It's punchy and to the point, expressing a powerful message in three words. You can't have something too wordy for people to chant at protests. I don't see how it invited the reactionary movements tbh. I think there'd always be opposition by white people because of what the movement represents, no matter the slogan
And it's not social media, language has always been a powerful tool. It's meant to instill something in people, to persuade them to act how you want them to. "If it does not fit, you must acquit". Look at the nigga in your avi, "I had a dream" is iconic
Ye compares book reading to eating broccoli so ya never knowww
broccy is goated
