STEPPA PIGI think unarmed black people regularly dying at the hands of those who are meant to protect them is more inflammatory, the slogan was formed as a response to that. It's punchy and to the point, expressing a powerful message in three words. You can't have something too wordy for people to chant at protests. I don't see how it invited the reactionary movements tbh. I think there'd always be opposition by white people because of what the movement represents, no matter the slogan
And it's not social media, language has always been a powerful tool. It's meant to instill something in people, to persuade them to act how you want them to. "If it does not fit, you must acquit". Look at the nigga in your avi, "I had a dream" is iconic
It literally openly invites the question “what about other lives?” And of course there’d always be opposition, it’d just be harder to form than simply attacking the name.
