The date only changes automatically at midnight when it's not out. They now changed the date ~30 minutes ago, so his management probably told Apple about the new expected date.

I worked for Apple a few years ago so I'm 100% sure this is what happened.

I think it’s safe to confirm that the iTunes date means absolutely nothing and it only keeps changing because it’s passing the date that’s posted without dropping and there needs to be a date there for the pre order to remain up. So we still have zero idea when this album is dropping, if it all.
