ummm, Watch The Throne came a year after Thank Me Later bro
Second album my bad
Hurricane
Not Hurricane or God Breathed On This. There was one joint that literally sounded like it could've been off Graduation. Had a Flashing Lights-like progression

Aye go f*** yourself for posting this
this is going to be such an emotional album, dedicated to his late mother while discussing his current divorce
this is nothing
it's praise god and donda interlude
Shiny Kanye
Kanye literally gave Drake a completely finished top 10 hit where he just had to re-record the vocals before Drake even dropped a studio album and safe is over here like:
"Kanye didn't show Drake love"
Kanye has dropped the same year as Drake every year since TML
Not counting IYRTITL cause that was a surprise and More Life
?

Anyone else think it's kinda weird that Kanye's been sitting on an album worth of interludes of his mom for 14 years? I guess he's just been waiting for the right time to use them on an album
no cos that’s his mother he can do what he wants with those interludes
Drake and Ye share equal blame, both are weird in their interactions and have tension from the jump
Yes Kanye definitely sabotaged Thank Me Later by purposely directing a bad video and giving him beats that were leftovers and kinda cheap sounding compared to what we know ye for
But drake also was in his feelings talking about Kanye didn’t give him enough beats for the album and that was kinda petty/ungrateful
It was always gonna be this way, Kanye wanted to stay #1 and drake is petty/sensitive

Why is that weird?
the difference was that he viewed drake as competition and never stopped viewing him that way even 10 years on
I don’t really think it’s a coincidence that Drake still doesn’t have a single feature on a Kanye album but chance, Vic, post Malone, etc etc all do
Does he really want to be? I mean he helped write some lines, if he wanted to I'm sure he could've been on it.
And he did record verses, at least I can recall All of the Lights, but the song was better without it.
there’s other threads on this site?

The way I see it, Kanye has been and always will be threatened by Drake. Not sure what has happened in the last few years behind the scenes, but for awhile, it seemed that Drake was eager for Ye's approval and it never came in the way that he expected. He also was eager for competition, to prove himself against Ye as a lyricist, and that never happened either because Ye drifted away from his early sound.
