i keep thinking about how reviews try to claim the album doesn't honour his mothers legacy, like one must directly reference her death in lyrics or samples, as though mood and tone are irrelevant in music, as though the entire album isn't steeped in death and loneliness, from the literal void of the album art to the use of emptiness and negative space in a lot of the songs.
