an entire paper could be written on the visual progression of the listening parties from the loneliness and desolation of the first with ye dressed defiantly in red to the dark militaristic aesthetics of the 2nd and 3rd. the 2nd esp is really special imo, from the clothing to the stage set-up. the bulletproof vests and spiked balenciaga jacket, ye fenced off and enclosed by the choir and dancers, locked away and fearful, until he finally ascends from it at the end.
