i actually really enjoy off the grid but i do think it would have been more appreciated as a “one off” single like how “all day” was. sonically it doesn’t fit as well into the tracklist as the other songs do

No you see, i think its actually not a hard song, and let me tell you why. I believe the drill beat that comes in at the Fivio verse is just not that good fam. The bassline is like all over the place, which could technically work had it been executed with finesse, but sadly it hadn’t. The person who wrote that ugly bassline melody does not deserve to and should not be around any basslines on drillbeats in the future. Truly a waste of a beat, that’s why i called it a doodoo wannabe gangster drillbeat itt and people are upset at me for speaking the truth. Deep down they know i be spitting facts that’s why i have to keep hammering it in to make sure it lasts. Doodoo execution, bad bassline. First part with Carti was impeccable. Wasted potential.
