WHAT THE F*** KANYE HOW DO YOU HAVE MUSIC LIKE THIS AND DON'T PUT IT OUT
I'm highkey pissed
Yea don't get me wrong Jonah has grown on me but he def could've cut that for this
Yea don't get me wrong Jonah has grown on me but he def could've cut that for this
He could've cut tell the vision for this bro why
do you have the whole post i remember the first time i read that s*** it was so crazy
Some lady walked up and introduced the listening party with "From Kanye West's next album Donda, the first track, Come To Life". The stage wasn't rly a stage but there were 4 pianos with like 8 year olds playing the keys and the track is piano heavy. Mind you, the acoustics were really bad in the church so somethings I could be mishearing. Kanye on the track sounded unfinished and mumble Ye, it was either that or him just harmonizing, both possible.
She goes onto previewing 2 commercials that will preview during NBA Game 6. First commercial is a Nike commercial with Sha’Carri (Olympic athlete blacklisted cuz her weed usage) with the song New Again playing during it. The second commercial is one for Beats earphones and the song playing is that one snippet from the Kim K birthday party, the one we all called Tell The Vision for months.
After that Kanye comes onto the set and begins doing his thing. He sets up the laptop and starts scrolling thru iTunes. Kanye does not say a word the entire time, not one. SilentYe.
12,000 Acres is the first song that Kanye plays. Sounds like Pusha T is a feature on this song. At this point I start to lose track of the tracklist or order of songs. Everything beyond this point is purely my memory and close to the order.
He begins to play Hurricane. It is the version with Ye's hook vocoded. After the hook Lil Baby hops on for his verse. After the verse I don't think the hook plays again I just remember kanye harmonizing and maybe doing a verse, the bass was crazy its hard to hear the words at this point.
He also plays Life Of The Party. A very very very lyrical introspective track. Mentions Tupac in here. Don't remember much but lyrically its finished 100% no mumble. All tracks besides maybe Come To Life are fully finished no mumble.
24 does not feature KayCyy or Sunday Service. Instead, if my girl and I heard correctly, Post Malone takes the spot and does the whole part. Kanye's verse is vocoded and pitched down. Finished song, beautiful and production wise VERY different than what we know it to be right now. update: MIGHT NOT ACTUALLY FEAT. POST MALONE. INSTEAD MIGHT FEATURE AN ARTIST NAMED VORY, WHO SOUNDS DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO POST MALONE.
Welcome To My Life is a very deep sad song about Kanye and him reflecting on his marriage with Kim. Talks about the kids and mentions her taking everything or whatever it was. After he played this song he paused for like 2 minutes and cried. Deep s*** poor dude. Somber production
sidenote: HIS VOCAL PERFORMANCE IS THE BEST S*** KANYE HAS EVER DONE HE HAS IMPROVED AS A SINGER SO MUCH AND EXPERIMENTS WITH HIS VOICE LIKE CRAZY.
I Know God Breathed On This was turned into a beautiful club BANGER with insane synth heavy production and hard hitting bass. During the song there are interludes with Ty$ I think it was iirc. It slows down and picks back up. Before this song there was a snippet with Pusha T but I think it was a different song and he played it by accident before IKGBOT.
I mentioned this in the discord but there was a really f***ing weird track that Kanye played where it was 2 solid minutes of a text to speech or SOMETHING repeating the word Donda. It repeated just the word Donda in different tones, patterns, cadences, etc. Super f***ing weird.
Donda is speaking on this whole album. In some of the songs she speaks during them or after.
Some other weird club banger was played it was cool. Untitled, i dont remember much.
Praise God is a certified hood CLASSIC oh my f***ing god. This song sounds to feature Travis Scott and Baby Keem. Currently having a crisis about this song trying to remember if I heard Playboi Carti in it or not. I'm aware of the snippet and yes that is Baby Keem on Praise God. But I am pretty sure I also heard Carti idk take this with a grain of salt.
Keep My Spirit Alive is still here with the features we have already known about, not much to say.
The final song played, untitled for now, is another somber track like Welcome To My Life. It starts with Donda speaking some s*** about not leaving one another in a parental sense I think. I remember her speech vaguely. But the main lyrics of the chorus is like "everybody knows somebody who needs....jesus" and the word jesus is said in a very ethereal and vocoded way.
OG Title track "Donda" was not played but I would not doubt that it is still on the album because of the theme with Donda speaking on some tracks and the sound fits.
do you have the whole post i remember the first time i read that s*** it was so crazy
DONDA / LP10 LISTENING PARTY DETAILED REVIEW
DISCLAIMER: I DID NOT RECORD S*** AND DON'T TRY TO SAY I DID. MY PHONE WAS LOCKED IN ONE OF THOSE STUPID YONDR POUCHES WITH NO WAY OF GETTING THEM OUT. PEOPLE WERE PICKING AT THE POUCHES BUT THEY WEREN'T ACCESSED. FOOTAGE DID COME OUT AND I AM NOT AWARE HOW THAT HAPPENED. SOME WERE KICKED OUT FOR RECORDING.
edit: I am not a journalist. I am a 18 year old Kanye fan who spends too much time listening to leaks who ended up going to this listening party. I don't remember every single detail. I was enjoying myself with my girlfriend listening to his new album. Don't crucify me for not knowing everything or how this is written. We can all be excited soon. Thank You.

sidenote: HIS VOCAL PERFORMANCE IS THE BEST S*** KANYE HAS EVER DONE HE HAS IMPROVED AS A SINGER SO MUCH AND EXPERIMENTS WITH HIS VOICE LIKE CRAZY.
Welcome to my life
Kanye really left DAYLIGHT off the album I'm in tears hearing how beautiful this song is
Welcome to my life
His info was wrong, welcome to my life was never played, no such thing as club Jesus song
we shoulda got Donda but instead of the pt2s it ended with daylight, never abandon your family, lotp ft Andre 3000, and South Carolina
His info was wrong, welcome to my life was never played, no such thing as club Jesus song
I think club Jesus song was new again
welcome to my life is a completely different song feat Ty Dolla, it is not Never Abandon Your Family.
