somewhere they talk about how it felt like he was reaching out to people and was lost during that era
you think of songs like only one, i feel like that, to then the chaos of the pablo era.
idk what happened but it seems like there was a big emotional change within him as he grew bigger with kim and had a child with her. it seems like he sacrificed a lot to get to the billionaire ye we see now.
but yes that era was so inspiring to me as a young man, it felt lke ye was the only nigga that made sense to me sometimes..

Of course it was all in vain, but we were a hopeful people there for a while.

to bring up my point about the 2016 election again, Trump didn't get in all by himself, the DNC gave him a push thinking it'd be an easier win than Bernie getting that spotlight in the media. I don't think they'd do the same for Kanye knowing how much it backfired on them in 2016.
And let's not look at the past with rose-tinted glasses in thinking Trump was the first idiot who made it to presidency either.. 2016 didn't change American politics in that regard
