Will never forget being so hype for Cudi and Ye to drop that "No More" snippet, one of the best snippets Ive ever heard. Only for it to drop and the first thing you hear is
I'M D'BANJ
TLOP is gen z fave Kanye album
No shade at all in that statement
Simply an observation
Absolutely
Thank god I am a Millenial
This could have been done in a better way tbh should have made his own streaming platform for him and anyone affiliated with him that he could even possibly let other artists join if they wanted to. Making people pay $200 to listen to his album is wack.
Ya gotta stop using this paying 200 to listen to the album argument lol
Very weird. As a self proclaimed Ye Stan, I’ve made 0 efforts to try and hear Donda 2. Ain’t heard so much as a snippet of any song

This and I have the stem player, but once I read it’s unfinished, I didn’t give it too much of a listen and haven’t gone back to it since.
If some people like hearing the album come together step by step I’m happy for them, but for me it just kinda ruins the magic so I’m just waiting for a more finished version before getting into it. When I heard the initial energy in Heaven and Hell versus the finished version it kinda unfairly altered my expectations for the song, which is great finished but I kept comparing it to the energy he had had on the unfinished version without the lyrics fleshed out.

Yeah people forget how many new fans he got from TLOP while having the OG fans that hated Yeezus love it too. 2018 washed a lot of the OGs away but kept the Gen Z ppl from TLOP

Yep i’m 20 y/o and a LOT of people jumped on during pablo
I love the album just not my favorite
It’s gone all over the place in my rankings over the years but i’m sooooooooooooooo nostalgic for that era
i feel like when people from your gen talk ab how much of a superstar ye was during grad i feel like 2015-16 Ye is the closest thing I can imagine to that

then you ain't no fan
I do think so, yea. I think the hardware behind stem player adds a lot of value to the music.
It obviously won’t appeal to every artist and their fanbases
but think of fans of guys like
Gambino
Cudi
Frank
Tyler
Etc
Just demographics that would likely enjoy getting to tinker with the album on their own
This device is like a year old or less right now it’s still a baby in terms of development cycles
Having Kanye as the face is a great first step
Thats cool , but i hope he still release his music to sdp's for the people and fans who are not intersted in the stem player
