    it's objectively clipped

use this gospel sounds phoned cut &pasted all over
dope track, dope ideas, but somehow sounds like more of a draft than chakras

dope album just find it hard to believe that this was years in the making, delayed 5 times, and still messy

while ye took like a month

I guess man.... Honestly it sounds alright to me so idk what to say. If he adds stuff to the album I wouldn't be mad but it sounds fine to me lol

    Final thoughts

Production INCREDIBLE but extremely poorly mixed and mastered s*** sounds so bad in that regard

Lyrically Kanye can take this and shove it up his ass

The low-fi, dry mixing works for me. I’m sure there are technical aspects that are driving audiophiles nuts, but Ye has been going for this stripped down style for years. I also don’t think it’s a coincidence that the album art is a vinyl record and the mixing is super dry.

A lot of great artist get looser and looser with their art. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I’d image Kanye felt like he mastered “playing by the rules”, being able to construct perfect albums, and it’s probably refreshing for him to get a little loose with vocals and song structures. If you look at a lot of great artist “mature work” it presents as less formal or “perfect” than their earlier work. Learn to play by the rules so you can break them, and I think that started with Yeezus for Kanye.

And “Follow God” is straight fire.

Yeezus and this are like completely different albums and styles lol its just personal preference that makes me like this more than Yeezus
Lyrics I think are better on Yeezus but I like the production style on this more

    This is better than Yeezus.

Wow I disagree but I can actually see why you would feel that tbh.

Yeezus is such a focused chaos album whereas this is messy yet purposeful.
