Hate to be that guy but... Are we really supposed to rally behind celebrities/artist in f***ed up contracts when there's actual modern slavery going on...
Isn't Kanye making shoes with Adidas..... Shouldn't he rally about the conditions of workers who make his product... idk guys

Edit:Always felt like these artists can really get together and make about change with their huge platforms... Of getting out of these contracts first is leading to them controlling their messages/voices, I'm all for it I guess...

Well I can tell you for sure that nothing’s gonna change under the current system of white/jewish label executives hoarding all the money

Kanye bringing all Yeezy production to Wyoming too btw, so it’s not like his s*** is being made by actual slaves like Nike

is Ye really the guy to target for this tho when he's been one of the only ones tryna bring production here with his own factories at better pay. Foam runners was a good first step of a very long path and he's still going with this goal in mind

I know that ye is trying to get production in the states but I don't remember him stating it was to no longer support the f***ed up conditions in foreign countries

I've never heard him speak up about it so his motives might be other things (ownership, power, employing black people etc) or those other things including stopping exploitation...idk

All I'm saying is he's dropping tweets and this video like some sort of campaign against artist exploitation by labels (which is a real thing and I hope that it gets resolved in favor of the artists)when I have yet to hear him out this type of energy in other issues that don't impact him directly....(correct me if I'm wrong)

I think that he truly wants to change things and if he could end all world suffering but we need to adress his thirst to be the savior for all; his issues always turn into missions to save "us" (in this case the exploited artists and him being their "Moses" ) when there are collectives of "us" that could need his billionaire, millions of followers, culturally relevant voice too...

    safe

This is exactly the type of thing I wanted from him

    This but in song/album form

    I f***s wit this movement.

Ye doesn’t need politics or to run for president to make a change, his voice is powerful enough. Not to mention being a multi billionaire never hurt lol

    Who’s asking you to rally?

    Hyperbolic speech my guy
What's the purpose of making that video then... Imo to get the court of public opinion on his side

Usually business dealings happen behind closed doors
When artists go public against like this it's too raise awareness

Even prince talked about how people didn't know about his s***ty deal until he wrote slave on his cheek (that's why he did that)

The message is clear, we need to know about this; now what are we (the general public) going to do besides support our favorite artists

Michael Jackson attended rallyes for when he felt he was being wronged by the industry too...

So don't come at me with this disingenuous remark like Kanye isn't trying to get the court of public opinion on his side or raise awareness for his situation within the music industry

Ps: if you can't entertain discussions that require more than snarky one liners/clapbacks please do not reply and keep the silly "didn't read lol, whoa there blablabla" to yourself too.

I really hope he succeeds with bringing production to Wyoming
And I agree that these artists shouldn't be exploited as well, especially under people who dgaf about humanity apperently...

  • This has been on my mind so much recently

When you break it down its artists, people who are supposed to be open and free and loving, getting completely f***ed by psychopathic suits in the music industry

Its like left brain vs right brain but on a massive scale

Doesn't rihanna own her masters? (correct me if I'm wrong but deadass saw a post about it years ago) always wondered how she got them (why the f*** would any label sell her, her album's masters with all those hits on it?)
