1. watch the throne 2 comes out this year. doesn't jay z book the halftime show?
2. bully is as stylistically progressive as ye's more experimental work AND accessible to the mainstream. basically it needs to be MBDTF but better. it needs to be the new 808s and heartbreak. if it's Late Registration-level (which I fear is where it's heading) it won't even be close to enough.

in what world is this not an episode? it literally is a textbook manic episode, ticks every criteria. “this is just who he is” was not the point. i didn’t say he bares zero responsibility for what he says. i said he’s in a textbook episode, disconnected speech, unfiltered speech, no sleep, fixations, paranoia, different thoughts projecting at a fast pace. why do you guys strive so hard to remove the mental illness factor from the equation lol. it’s not a get out jail card but it’s absolutely a major factor to all of this

1. Jay has distanced himself from Ye for awhile now other than randomly popping up on Donda which was a shock, no chance he even gives ye something as little as a feature post all this Nazi s***. But put Ye who is clearly mentally ill, selling swastika shirts, saying he’s beat women etc on the biggest stage and risk Jay’s whole s*** with the NFL? You or me got a better chance of being the halftime performer rn

2. when it comes to music what on earth have you heard in relation to this album that gives you hope it’ll even sniff LR, 808s, MBDTF etc? I’m just hoping for a couple strong tracks atp and even that seems unlikely

anyway i don't think it's likely that he'll do the super bowl AT ALL but i do think it's a very real possibility (0.1%? 0.01%?), especially given the jay z connection.

i also get the sense that ye likes to play with a stacked deck. basically i think he's been a douchebag recently because he thinks he has something up his sleeve. i don't think he'd be this provocative if he didn't feel he had something to back it up.

the disconnect i have talking about this with people online is:

this guy is f***ing michael jordan.

i think he has an extremely powerful psychological response to doubters/naysayers, which he has leveraged to produce amazing work.

like jordan, he has come to understand that he can induce that psychological response in himself by engineering triggering situations

it's a buzzword but i think the term "neuroatypical" is more accurate than "mentally ill" in this situation. they are NOT NORMAL. they are basically psychotic. they are sometimes bad to be around. but the results speak for themselves.

Dude is def manic but it’s happened enough times by now it’s getting predictable & boring. One of the defining characteristics of manic episodes is how much they diverge from people’s day to day behavior and beliefs. If there’s even a debate as to if he’s manic or not at this point there’s something else going on

Preacher man COULD be a great song but his vocals sound awkward at parts and the lyrics clearly are typical ghostwritten 2020s era ye bars that don’t grab you
