i also get the sense that ye likes to play with a stacked deck. basically i think he's been a douchebag recently because he thinks he has something up his sleeve. i don't think he'd be this provocative if he didn't feel he had something to back it up.

i disagree with the idea of "prime".
i think there were financial and lifestyle constraints that allowed him to be particularly focused at the start of his career. i think conditions changed and he has been less focused over the last decade or so.
i do think those classic albums arose from a world and a community of people which have all changed drastically and will never return to their former state.
but i think if the right conditions arise ye could create an album with a similar impact.

Feb 22, 2025preacher man would be good if kanye recorded real vocals for it and had it properly mixed and mastered. same for beauty and the beast, except it's still pretty underwritten and needs a verse or two.
i don't think the songs are musically bad, they have potential. kanye will probably never do what needs to be done to make them good though.
