Well he's clearly experimenting. Yeezus is different than his trilogy, 808s is different than yeezus, mbdtf is different than tlop, ye is different than JIK. He's trying different sounds, not rapping as much, using different cadences, the list goes on. If that isn't experimenting idk what is. I see him bored because the hunger isn't there. Not saying he's halfassing s*** but there's a clear difference between current kanye and old kanye.

But to be on topic, with Kanye you never know what he's going to do next, so you'll always be inclined to listen to what he drops, that's a win for him tbh and maybe it might end up good who knows

it depends on the person and where they're at in life. "old kanye" was young and hungry to be at the top. he had something to prove and was considered an underdog. he didn't experiment and push his sound to do what interests him, he did it to try and transcend the genre.

he clearly doesn't need to anymore though. he has a billion dollar company, he has a loving family, and he has one of the best hip-hop discographies OAT. he doesn't need to prove anything anymore. that's probably one of the reasons why ye and JIK just aren't as high-quality as his previous projects.

cant say you're wrong, based off of the interview it seems he is doing too much at the same time which takes away from the quality of music he is producing. don't know the man personally of course so i might be wrong, we'll see when he drops.
