these stan wars going somehow I guess This is a false equivalence. It was released as a single beforehand and was already regarded as the first single off Views even before One Dance dropped. Same thing with how God's Plan/Nice for What were released as singles before Scorpion dropped and Drake didn't wait till the second week to add it to the album like Kendrick is doing now.
If you wanna use this as a point then every album in history that's ever had a single/singles released beforehand fits this category and that's just wrong.
