Mr MotionWhy is altering it after release whack? Technology has allowed the art to not remain static, so I see no issue. Whether it’s for sales or otherwise. If the songs they’re adding don’t fit the album then I’ll rightfully critique it, but if it’s enhancing it, or in line with the album theme, I don’t see much of an issue.
If it’s a stream/numbers play and it’s very apparent, I might not like it but I can always just skip or remove the song from the track list if it’s that big a deal
i still think. it's just an antiquated way of thinking on my part. i haven't caught up to the times. i like an album that's set in stone and presented that way upon release. push that s*** back if you ain't get a verse on time. if you ain't get that sample cleared. really doesn't have anything to do with numbers or manipulating for me. might not seem rational. i'm just a young old nigga.

NoirHell yeah, I thought Sling was one of the most underrated albums of last year (Bambi ❤️) and was on the Phoebe/Boygenius wave before most people
Do you like Jay Som? I saw Soccer Mommy open for her before she blew up on her own. That whole wave of indie pop along with Japanese Breakfast, Mitski, Luna Li, etc really appeals to me.
I haven't really gotten into her stuff but I loved Mitski's last record. It's probably in my top 5 for the year. Maggie Rogers also has a new record dropping this year. MUNA also dropped a single today. Seems like a lot of indie acts will be dropping in the second half of the year because I know most of my faves have been cooking up.

Like everybody talking about this as if it was Kendrick who chose to do it when in reality it was probably TDE that had the most say lol end of the day they're still an independent label, and if there's a way for them to make more money off one of their artists they'll do it. Nothing malicious about it I'm sure, it just is what it is. On top of that this is Kendrick's last album with the label. They tryna milk it how they can more power to them
