You’re surprised Drake can get a #1 over Harry? Is what I’m getting at

    BRAVE

Bad Bunny’s album might be showing that people are tired of emotionally drab and non-exciting music

Honestly he just has the Spanish speaking community in a vice grip. He’s the embodiment of that “outside” s*** that people on here talk about.

Went to the liquor store the other day and they were playing bad bunny, Got a coworker who bumps his music at his desk every day.

But yeah. Niggas do need to start coming with some brighter more colorful music.

No I’m not surprised he can get a number one. Drakes gets em with ease but with the public perception of this album it is surprising that Jimmy cooks could go number one

Even if it does go #1 doubt it stays there for long tbh

Jimmy Cooks was literally the first song to get mass praise. I mean I get a little bit of what ur saying but it’s not really a surprise jimmy cooks is going #1.
The average listener f***ed with it heavy

I do too. Idk maybe I’m crazy I just never would’ve guessed it would go number one. Didn’t realize it was doing that well

You right. Mass majority only messed with Jimmy cooks at first. It’s the only one most fans agreed on that was good. Hoping it goes number one. Will probably free fall next week though

Yeah it definitely feels like one of those come and go #1 songs. Think the beat switch cuts into how replayable it is tbh

200k for this project isn’t a flop to me

    No it’s a flop.

I think the flop should have been expected though, and it’s not really indicative of anything other than “you can’t drop a surprise album and the album be a different whole genre and expect to break 600K like you always do”

It demonstrates that Drake isn’t ‘above the law’ so to speak if even he couldn’t make it work.

200k is not that bad honestly but if it free falls below like 80k next week then it's 100% a flop

What you said in quotes is why it isn’t a flop to me though

Like I don’t get what numbers people would expect from a surprise dance album?

  • Jun 21, 2022

    Confirmed flop

I agree. I love sticky. Glad he’s pushing it as the first single

But like, he’s never been lmao Dark lane did around the same.

We in a pandemic. Or was. Nobody moves units like they used to, so you can imagine what essentially a drake surprise house album / mixtape was gon do.

    IMO

Definitely. Would be cool for 21 to get another number one with drake

  • Jun 21, 2022

Yeah I mean like post pandemic. Now going outside. People wanna that happy s*** and upbeat s*** they can bump with friends and family

The emo sad music worked in lockdown era and people were in rooms doing nothing

That’s why abba still relevant after 45 years

  • Melz

Like I don’t get what numbers people would expect from a surprise dance album?

    For ME?

I expected 300k-350k (which is obv considerably lower than CLB and his flagship albums)

So him barely cracking 200K is mildly surprising. There’s degrees to flopping I think, and this is a mild one.
