wait should mean he does more not less
i don't see how these days, feels like people move on too fast. 16 year olds now were 11 when DAMN came out
I don't think it's a coincidence that pretty much every dominant artist over the last 5-6 years has been an artist that released an album every 1-2 yrs. Ariana/Post Malone/Drake/Uzi etc, i even think Kendrick's DAMN did better because he had TPAB & UU in the 24 months prior
if Drake released an album once every 4 years (Take Care 2011, NWTS 2015, Views 2019) and we never got Scorpion/ML/IYRTITL/CLB/DLDT I don't even think he'd be anywhere near as big as he is
When you talk about top 10 hip hop albums oat you'll probably see 2 kendrick albums , 3 or 4 ye albums , hov , em and nas will be there too.
I dont see how a drake project could ever make that list , respectfully
Yall really projecting the fact people actually like this album as some stan conspiracy theory that he can do no wrong
drake fans rly HATE kendrick’s guts it’s insane
Kendrick stans always bring up Drake first you guys are literally obsessed with Drake.

Losing what?
Bruh no the f*** it wasn’t considered timeless classics at the time bro.
Yes cole and Drake was above Kenny due to the mixtape work. Classic mixtapes during the mixtape era. Great.
But then niggas graduated into the big leagues. Drake graduated first. And his albums was good but not considered classics at the time. Have no clue why ya lying about this. Cole graduated and his first album was mid. Kenny graduated and dropped an undisputed universal classic and that set him apart at that time. He pulled it off.
1) Drake and Cole (by 2012) had at least two timeless projects that were and are considered classics.
2) Drake and Cole were outselling Kendrick endlessly by 2012
So no, they weren’t worried about Kendrick nor did Kendrick ever set himself apart, maybe to Pitchfork and Rolling Stone readers…
3) The only notable moves Kendrick made were the Pulitzer and outselling Cole by 2017. But as we can see this year, his flame is diminished and both Cole and Drake are bigger and have just as many (if not more) timeless projects.
I’m good on responding to you. Let’s move on bro lol

Kendrick fans taunted Drake fans from 2017 to 2022, talking about "his next album will definitely do more than Scorpion/CLB" and now they're surprised that Drake fans have something to say to them lol.

Its funny because a quick twitter search would show this is true

Y'all just saying s*** mane
Absolutely nothing. They're finding new words to use as excuses every day.
lmao you saying worldwide steppers beat and united in grief instrumentals aren't weird for mainstream hip hop?
Its funny because a quick twitter search would show this is true
I'm even talking specifically about KTT but it extended to the other parts of the internet. Even just last week, they were still talking s*** about Kendrick's 5-year hiatus being enough to get his next album (whatever it was) to do 750k-1m and now that they see it won't be a possibility they're pulling all sorts of excuses out of their asses:
"It's not a mainstream album"
"It's Kendrick's answer to a Radiohead album"
"It had no rollout, no singles and no promo"
"Kendrick didn't have a heart-shaped hairline and he didn't announce features using billboards"
"Kendrick doesn't care about numbers, he just cares about the art"
I wonder what else they'll come up with.
Its funny because a quick twitter search would show this is true
On instagram comments too midrick fans always be bringing up drake talking about he gonna outsell him again like in 2017
now they with the cope talking about the album had no physicals etc.
lmao you saying worldwide steppers beat and united in grief instrumentals aren't weird for mainstream hip hop?
No, they're not. Nothing Kendrick does has ever been some weird s*** that's never been seen in mainstraam hip-hop before so stop putting him in that category of artists. We have legends like Missy Elliott and OutKast who came before him and made all the weirdo music imaginable and were still commercial forces.
Because Kendrick isn't on a drill or trap beat doesn't mean he's on anything "weird."

Niggas was NOT counting mixtapes as legit classics nigga. You needed a classic ALBUM.
Thank Me Later and Take Care was NOT classics at the time. Stop lying about this. Like saying this you’re either a little nigga or just a Stan. Cuz you was not outside.
Sideline Story was NOT considered a classic and that’s what mattered. Mixtapes did not count in the big leagues nigga.
Kenny had GKMC. To act like that did not set him apart and jump him up the rankings at the time is wild d***eating lmao
