I remember like after a year TPAB dropped out of the Billboard 200 albums. GKMC is still there at #23. That's his true classic.
Exactly. The TPAB that gets all the ridiculous hype hasn't charted nearly as long as GKMC has.
Translation: if your takes don't align with mine then don't post them
Tell me where the d***riding is? I never even expressed my opinion on this new album. You're arguing against a projection
I never said your takes had to align with mine.
This is just pretentious excuses.
We were talking about this earlier. You can have a 3 star Michelin piece of s***, what makes food good is that it is palatable.
At the same time it brings a premise that it could get old fast and quickly lose the magic behind it, as opposed to something that's acquired taste where the appreciation only grows over time
By your logic Mcdonalds is quality food
Yall dumbass mfs think because a song is more accessible it automatically equals to better quality
Ah yall never fail to amaze me
Not automatically but 100 people listening to music from one artist for 13 years in high amounts SAYS SOMETHING
Despite growing up the music is still enjoyable.
Whereas for Kendrick 45 people listen to it and begin to loose interest 10 years later.
I get that but why not let people enjoy what they wanna enjoy? How is popular art affecting anyone who doesn't appreciate popular art? I like Marvel movies/shows. Do I think the superhero s*** is overdone now? Yes. But do I complain and act like I'm better than the people who aren't tired of it like I am? F*** no because I think as mainstream as those movies/TV shows are, a lot of work goes into them and they're made as well as they possibly could be made. This is a concept most Kendrick fans don't get.
You don't HAVE TO like Drake. I'm a massive Drake fan and I'm never scared to s*** on a song I think is wack. It doesn't mean as a Kendrick fan you get to s*** on Drake and all he's done because he doesn't do what Kendrick does.
Appreciate everyone for their contributions to the game but no, everyone has to talk s*** about Drake like anybody in rap history has ever done what he's currently doing. The disrespect is too much.
I would never stop you from enjoying anything. But I'm also not gonna stop expressing my opinions just because they make you uncomfortable. Love what you love, it's cool. Let me love what I love too. Doesn't mean you can't critique it.
I think people would be less likely to s*** on Drake on ktt2 if the stans didn't always go into meltdowns. But I guess we're guilty of baiting just like y'all are

Kendrick's music will always get play into the future and be even studied in schools
but ok
Real Good music usually dont chart well . Basic trap songs with dumb lyrics are the ones to chart these days.
And drake loves to make that type of songs.
Probably because the only thing he have against real artists is sales.
The delusion in the Kendrick album thread is honestly disturbing. They are pretending that this is a CLASSIC classic and I don't even think they are joking, they believe that s***
The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, etc these guys all charted well. It's a myth that good music doesn't chart well.
That doesn't mean ALL great music WILL chart well but the correlation is more in your favor than against.
Different eras , streaming changed the game .
Drake's a jew he knows how to make money so he makes the right music for sales.
Im a jew myself , not racist lol

Illmatic took 10 years to go platinum. Best hip hop album of all time
Kendrick fans taunted Drake fans from 2017 to 2022, talking about "his next album will definitely do more than Scorpion/CLB" and now they're surprised that Drake fans have something to say to them lol.
They got a victim complex
The delusion in the Kendrick album thread is honestly disturbing. They are pretending that this is a CLASSIC classic and I don't even think they are joking, they believe that s***
It’s cause their fan base is predicated on the belief that Kendrick is the black messiah
Yall dumbass mfs think because a song is more accessible it automatically equals to better quality
Ah yall never fail to amaze me
And y'all dumbasses think the less replay value a song has the better it is.
Talking about music in a sales thread never gonna go down well tho so I should leave

Illmatic took 10 years to go platinum. Best hip hop album of all time
Lock thread
And y'all dumbasses think the less replay value a song has the better it is.
N O P E
I can instantly tell something off rip it's actual quality music that needs time to marinate vs some goofy mid
At the same time it brings a premise that it could get old fast and quickly lose the magic behind it, as opposed to something that's acquired taste where the appreciation only grows over time
By your logic Mcdonalds is quality food
No, why should that suggest what I said at all?
Even the Michelin company isn't that pretentious and they are starting to give street food stars.
Food is determined by cost, hence why McDonalds is a popular choice. People don't pick it because it's the best quality.
People have no different cost to listen to Kendrick as they do ABBA.
Drake got the sales , kendrick got grammies and great reviews .
And probably will tie jay and ye with the grammies at some point.
Honestly ill never understand how drake is selling so much these days , thats weird af for me.
Cause you don’t go outside
The delusion in the Kendrick album thread is honestly disturbing. They are pretending that this is a CLASSIC classic and I don't even think they are joking, they believe that s***
Some of the people in there believe untitled, unmastered is a classic. Best to leave them to their own devices.
JeniaH is from eastern europe or some s*** and they only listening to eminem and 50 cent
Everyone needs to ignore him
They tried to use Cole to go against Drake but he wouldn't budge and that's when they settled for Kendrick. The industry had been looking for someone to go at Drake for YEARS.
Crazy part is even cole said this lmao.
He said people in the industry wanted him to go at drake and he wasn’t rocking with that
Comparing early projections with actual sales 🙄
Oh the actual sale huh
