How would Drake's next rap album doing 350k not be a major W? Isn't y'all's logic that he just has to outdo his last album? Didn't HN do 204k? Isn't 350k > 204k? No rap album has even done 300k since CLB, but I forget y'all only have a different set of rules for Drake.

Oh ok, so given that….Scorpion sold less than Views, CLB sold less than Scorpion, HN sold less than CLB…seems like Drake’s been flopping for years now based on what you’re saying. Cool.

How is he flopping when he's still outselling every rapper by MILES? Does that even make sense? This is why you're a pathetic hater. You completely abandon all logic when it comes to Drake.

  • Jul 31, 2022

Amazing how ridiculous the standards are set for Drake and only Drake, yet y'all get mad that Drake fans/stans stay bragging about his success, dominance and longevity. Dude has been the biggest rapper for the last decade and it's still not enough.

Even this year, with the astronomical "flop" that is HN, he's still going to be the most streamed/best-selling rapper of the year, for the zillionth time.

God bless the day he hangs it up because y'all will never see another figure in rap demonstrate this level of dominance, ever.

Put some numbers on that next Drake album y’all. Not tryna hear how 350K is a major W later unless you say it now.

    415-435k

Not surprised most of the posts itt are about Drake.

    Drake sells well
    “Sales dont matter” - niggas

Someone else sells better than Drake
“Sales matter” - those same niggas

Even Jimmy Cooks ain’t holding round like regular Drake rap songs normally would.

Just hope people can stop acting stupid and playing dumb when discussing HN

A surprise dance album from a rap act being judged against his flagship series was always stupid and he still broke 200k

Yeah but the Drake stans needed to be shamed for it.

Under 300k for any genre of Drake album is weak.

First day listens were high and then his s*** dropped like a anchor.

    What went under 200k?

You wouldn’t compare I am not a human being to Carter 3, or 808’s to late registration

    I’d say 300-400k.

The numbers game has changed forever with those bundles getting banned off charting.

If even Beyoncé ain’t getting 400k with a month of promo then I’m not so sure Drake is either.

Yeah I don’t agree with this at all.

In my opinion, (just mine) the idea that drake was supposed to break 300k with a dance album out of nowhere was just setting him up for slander because niggas honestly knew that wasn’t happening.

Just like with demo tapes, a project / album / tape out of nowhere in 2022 wasn’t hitting 300k. Even a rap tape wasn’t doing that.

I think CLB doing what it did less than a year ago speaks volumes

Demo tapes was a rap tape and did 223K. How was a surprise DANCE album supposed to top that?

Go look up the thread before he dropped it.

They were determined he was gonna do 400-500k. And the news was out by then about what kind of album it was.

Like I said, the bloom is off the rose now and the charts have cracked down on bundles. It’s not crazy to say that his sales will continue to go on a downward slope.

true but beyonce has been making music since the 90s those numbers are good for the time in her career.back to 400k will be good depending on what the next taylor or adele albums does.if he has top sellling alum that year then yeah maybe. but also this drakes transtioning to a legacy actt now so less first week sales but it well a lot over time due to his core fanbase

Yes it is. He just broke 600k less than a year ago.

    That’s a fact

If you’re going to judge his commercial arrow by this album and not his flagship series then sure, but you know and I know that wouldn’t be accurate and would be disingenuous as hell

    If we being honest here

You look at demo tapes, you look at HN, and you look at CLB…what’s the difference?

Exactly. I think, until the rap album shows a significant dip then we simply aren’t there yet

Again CLB shattered s*** and that was not even a year ago bruh

He not being honest with himself

Using HN instead of CLB to prove a point is nasty but I’m not surprised
