Think we’ve reached a tipping point with the minimal notice prior to albums dropping and it’s part of why artists are plateauing from a sales perspective
Artists are not too good to engage in a traditional rollout with singles, videos, etc
In an era where music is as disposable as ever, artists really should think about getting on the circuit again.
I miss expansive, effective rollouts. I'm 30+ now and it makes me sad that the feeling of waiting a month or two for an album and having the release be expertly executed a la MBDTF has mostly become a thing of the past.
Sure, my life doesn't revolve around music quite like it did when I was 16 but I'm not too busy to get excited over a great rollout. It does affect sales too, clearly.

Idk about this. Weeknd had a traditional rollout and flopped, and Future had basically no rollout and had the best sales this year
This would be her first #1 since 2017 right?

Lol plan a rollout just for it to get trashed 10 mins after it's out
Khaled rollouts are like 10 years long and...

First since 2020. The Savage remix went number 1
how can it be bait when it's true? OP has never attacked anyone, all she has been doing is posting about the charts. Show me one post where she unprovoked attacked a user. Despite her friendly nature, we have +10 users who write a lot of disgusting posts about her. What is the reason for that?
She's really eager to post daily updates about the charts, even providing spot increases or decreases for each of Kendrick's and Beyonce's individual tracks on streaming services. Why wasn't she doing this for Honestly Nevermind?
Why is the OP of this thread so dedicated to making every artist except Drake look bad?
Idk about this. Weeknd had a traditional rollout and flopped, and Future had basically no rollout and had the best sales this year
Facts. The Dawn rollout had more effort than After Hours and it still flopped. Future success was because he just dropped good music. Bad Bunny too and that's all people seem to care about. If you do a huge rollout for an album without quality it won't matter how you promote it. Jack Harlow is another example of a big rollout that most people didn't like

It was just a music gap tbh

You can also post in this thread her being OP doesn't effect you
We need a completely neutral op like darkest angel

I'm sure it's because it's summer and she's out there enjoying life, like everyone should do during these beautiful times. So she's not able to update it every single second because she's not home.

Dawn rollout had more effort than after hours? Are you seriously living in the same universe as the rest of us?

I was responding to a post wondering why she gets so much vitriol in here
Saying something like "All she does is post about the charts" is being disingenuous
We all know how Drake stans were wilding on this site when it came to every other major artist's sales this year. Just stand by it instead of playing the victim now that Drake also had disappointing sales ffs
