Let’s classify a hiphop song as pure rap verses over a hiphop beat. Now let’s look at how much of the runtime of each mainstream Drake project is comprised of hiphop songs:
So Far Gone57% of the runtime
Thank Me Later72% of the runtime
Take Care68% of the runtime
Nothing Was the Same77% of the runtime
If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late68% of the runtime
What a Time to Be Alive78% of the runtime
Views46% of the runtime
More Life48% of the runtime
Scorpion76% of the runtime - Side A
31% of the runtime - Side B
(52% overall)
60% of the runtime
Care Package55% of the runtime
Certified Lover Boy47% of the runtime
Honestly, Nevermind7% of the runtime (obviously)
The average percentage of hiphop tracks across Drake’s projects is 56.5%CLB only 47%???
CLB only 47%???
thats what happens when you make up stats for an agenda.
CLB only 47%???
i thought this was odd too but depending on what you consider rapping/singing drake i’d say it is about a 50/50 split across the 21 tracks

Beyoncé with only 1 song in the top 10 seems weird. I guess a lot of the sales were physicals.

Exactly lol idk what this thread is on

that there are dozens of Drake songs that are hip-hop songs which he sings on/which have melodic verses
I’ll have you know that these songs are included (when he’s purely rapping as well). And the numbers don’t change
f***ing best I ever had was counted for crying out loud lol
Another thing that’s funny is I’m including the whole songs runtime as a part of the percentage, not just the parts of the songs with pure rapping

That's just the thing — Drake is rapping on Girls Want Girls, In the Bible, Pipe Down, IMY2 and F***ing Fans. On TSU, he's sing-rapping. The only songs that could be regarded as R&B records on CLB are Yebba's Heartbreak, Fountains & Get Along Better. He sings on most of Race My Mind but then there's a long rap verse at the end lol.
The songs I'd categorize as R&B Drake songs are the ones with zero rapping. Drake doesn't have 50 songs that fit that description in his entire discography. Most of his songs are either straight rap or songs where he sings/raps or uses a melodic rap flow.

who made the stats?
Drake stans proving once again that they're only satisfied with numbers that suit their own agendas and beliefs
"Stop the count!" headasses

If you actually read posts instead of rushing to judge based on numbers, you'd know that's exactly what Brave did. And go ahead, nobody's stopping you

yea so not based on any objective criteria got it

Brave defined the criteria, it's right there. But as has been pointed out, that's tough for Drake. Think about Lust for Life - "My ex sending late night texts because she don't know how to let go go go" starts off as rapping but then transitions to singing. You expect him to count how many seconds are spent rapping before Drake starts singing the end of the lines?
If you think he's wrong, there's a simple solution - do your own count
