That's for when there's new releases. They might drop projections for Metro's album this evening or they might just wait to drop the full top 20 on Tuesdays. Could go either way.

Trying and failing /= not trying.

    But are they trying?

Gonna need examples lol cause I haven't heard a song that sounded like a hit in a while (that didn't feature Drake)

You think Lil Baby's "Heyyy" wasn't meant to be a hit?

Or anything from Roddy's FTS 3?

    Tomorrow 2 with Cardi?

Or that Cardi x Ye x Smurk record?

Harlow's album had records with Wayne, Pharrell, Drake, certainly they tried to get some hits on that one beyond first class

Rappers put out singles all the time then ignore them or act like it didn't happen when it flops.

Major Label recording rap artists most of the times are not actively NOT trying to have hits that's crazy

I already said female rappers still have hits.

Can't remember any of the singles or anything from Lil Baby's album tbh.

    Isn't Roddy a singer?

And Harlow only had one because of the sample. He sucks.

    You not hearing me

Just because you can't remember anything from Lil Baby's album doesn't mean he didn't try for some of those records to become singles lol He put Detox out as a single too

Roddy is a rapper w/o a doubt. Him using melody doesn't change that.

Gunna dropped this year w/Pushin P, that was definitely a song that was a hit and a song that they tried to make a hit

Khaled had Staying Alive but even beyond that, he tried to get multiple hits off of God Did

Moneybagg Yo put out "See what I'm saying" as a single that flopped

Could go on but point is, rappers put out records all the time as their singles and try to make them hits. They just flop. Signed Rappers in 2022 flop...a lot.

There’s tons of hits. Y’all problem be you guys don’t consider songs a hit until white america start attaching to something.

Khaled did try, but Drake never really gives him anything worth it anymore.

I don't think anything Lil Baby dropped was hit worthy tbh

Gunna dropped a meme, not a hit.

I really don't think they try to drop hits anymore, they just pick a single and drop it not even caring. Except Khaled, who just failed.

Can't even remember much from 2022. I did like Eazy and City Of Gods for example. And Wait For U.
