I see so many men on social media getting excited about the SZA album. What is it about her that specifically straight men connect with so much? Even Beyoncé doesn’t get support like this.
https://twitter.com/sza/status/1601371858355441664She’s a toxic millennial women who is honest about it and waxes lyrical poetry with it. Men were always gonna gravitate to her more then a Summer Walker or a H.E.R.
See women claiming SZA is the one wronged in the lyrics of Nobody Gets Me when she makes it pretty clear she f***ed up with her ex-fiancé and she deserves the consequences of losing him.
It’s what a lot of cis men have been waiting to hear from a female rnb singer.
As a guy, I think I gravitate towards her music more than other female artists because I really enjoy her songwriting. I think she is way more unique lyrically and more creative. Her lyrics are written quite poetically.

As I said… the amnesia is hilarious
I don't think I've seen people wish failure on an album like Drake stans do Mr. Morale. S*** is hilarious.
Anyway, if these numbers hold up it's dope as f*** for SZA....and R&B in general

No one needed to wish failure on that album. It managed that all by itself.

The way that album dropped on initial projections people just weren’t feeling it . Nothing to do with drake stans

Positive reviews and the 2nd most streamed album of the year, how is that a failure?

They blame Drake stans for everything. Nothing new.

As a major mainstream act, positive reviews don't mean s*** if your album doesn't have impact and people don't keep going back to it. Also, this is the streaming era. There are more ways to judge the success of an album beyond just how it performed in its first week.
All of that is way more pronounced because MM was his first album in 5 years and will probably remain that till the next 3/4 years when he drops again.
It's a failure because he dropped an album this year and he might as well didn't because it didn't have any sort of impact whatsoever. It was forgettable and people have already moved on to playing DAMN. instead.

whats the 2nd most streamed album cause its not low morale

LSA-tier post fosho
You guys complaining about Kendrick's album being a "failure", meanwhile there's a lot of people on social media and irl that still enjoy the album. Not too long ago, someone bumping Count Me Out at work.
It's probably the same as well for Her Loss.
If you want to argue about the quality of both albums due to its work, that's fine.
But to say that an album is a failure/trash because it didn't reach the commercial success that people wanted it to be is f***in WILD

True, but they're saying that as the album is trash or bad

As everyone should know, music & it’s quality are impossible to quantify.
There is no objective score for music.
People can argue up and down all day about what music is better, but they will never find a concrete answer, because there is none.
For many people, they think they can bypass this fact by looking at sales data.
“Album X sold better than Album Y, so X is better!!!”
Which is, of course, completely wrong.
Out of everyone, you would think people that logon to a music forum everyday would understand this type of thing, but they are the ones doing it.

i feel so empowered here
i wish people would understand drake is clearly the better artist because he keeps outselling him with every release
why do people even like kendrick lamar? i seriously don’t get it.. i mean have they even seen the sales?
so sick of people saying kendrick is a good artist when he can’t even sell 500k 1st week
so grateful 4 this safe space

How are you even comparing both albums? People were moving on from Kendrick's album THE WEEK IT DROPPED. That's why his projection dipped by over 50k.
Honestly, Nevermind was bleeding streams like crazy during its first week as well and even it didn't drop that hard against its initial projections like Kendrick's album did. That tells you how turned off people were by Kendrick's album after day 1.
Her Loss is filled with bangers and album tracks that ride. People will be playing that album for years just off that alone.
Kendrick's album will be forgotten the more time passes because he has albums in his discography that are much better. That's it.
What's hilarious is you people refusing to accept that he dropped a dud that no one cares about.
