This doesn't make sense. How the hell do you think he gets insane numbers first day on everything he drops if he doesn't have a cult like fanbase? His fans are completely obsessed with his music.
If his fans weren't cult like they wouldn't be creaming their pants the moment he drops something new. Meanwhile artists like The Weeknd/pop artists in general don't do crazy first day/week numbers because their audiences just don't care as much about the music, they latch on to it over time instead
