Didn't HNVM sell 200k?
Rebirth by Lil Wayne sold 176k copies in 2010
I wonder why
Then in 2011 Tha Carter IV sold 964k copies

CLB in 2021 did 613k and Her Loss after Honestly, Nevermind did 404k. They always abandon common sense when it comes to Drake discussions.
They ignore this so much
I wonder how many units a surprise rock album by Kendrick would sell.
This doesn't make sense. How the hell do you think he gets insane numbers first day on everything he drops if he doesn't have a cult like fanbase? His fans are completely obsessed with his music.
If his fans weren't cult like they wouldn't be creaming their pants the moment he drops something new. Meanwhile artists like The Weeknd/pop artists in general don't do crazy first day/week numbers because their audiences just don't care as much about the music, they latch on to it over time instead
GP support is not the same as having cult fanbase
cults gotta be battle tested. drake stans aint been thru s***
people confusing fans with stans.
people confusing fans with stans.
If a fan is constantly listening to whatever the artist puts out the moment it drops for 5, 10+ years.... is that not a stan? you need a level of obsession to do something like that, that to me makes them a stan.
whilst also paying $300 for concert tickets mind you
this is just such a weird argument lol

Drake does not have a cult-like fanbase, he just reaches so many different demographics with his music and he makes genuinely good music that is easily accessible and easy to listen to.
Being a massive artist doesn’t automatically mean your fanbase is cult-like.
Drake doesn’t have a large stan following, he mostly just has millions upon millions of fans who all enjoy his music.
Nicki, Beyonce, Travis, Taylor, etc. are artists with cult-like followings

Ok then what makes an artists fanbase "cult like" i'm curious, since you think Carti apparently has a bigger cult fanbase than Drake

Nicki couldn't even sell out an arena tour with Future in 2018, yet she has a cult-like fanbase whilst Drake who sold out an arena tour in seconds at $300 a ticket doesn't?
Huh??

Drake is the biggest artist on planet Earth and has not toured in 4 years, of course this tour was gonna be wildly successful.
I don’t know why you’re using ticket sales as an argument for him having a cult-like following. He just has a large following, that doesn’t automatically equate it to being cult-like.
I feel like you’re taking it as some diss against Drake, but it really isn’t. His fanbase is huge, it’s just two different type of followings.
Ed Sheeran is another example of a huge artist who’s currently selling out stadiums but he doesn’t have a cult-like following.

listening to music constantly is just a fan especially when they one of the biggest artists out right now. Stan is next level.

i think one example of cult like could be vmas tbh. Those are fan voted awards (nominations arnt but the winner is)

This 100%. Drake does not have a large stan following, and there’s nothing wrong with that because he has a bigger audience than damn near anybody

Right its not a bad thing. Like Drake does have a few stans but its nowhere to the level of some other artists. Drake and Wayne are similar where they mainly rely on GP.
Drake stans in here getting offended because they're being told they're outliers
Drake doesn't have a cult-like following and that's not a bad thing tbh. Cult-like followings are corny. Have ya'll seen the way Fantano stans act? Or the "TRAVIS SCOTT SAVED MY LIFE" niggas

Exactly. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. Don’t know why they’re getting so defensive

Lowkey
I was gonna say though, KTT is the only place I’ve ever seen like hardcore hardcore Drake stans
listening to music constantly is just a fan especially when they one of the biggest artists out right now. Stan is next level.
Eh I guess that's where I disagree. If you're listening to everything an artist drops as soon as it comes out you're definitely not just a "fan" to me. You're at a minimum fairly hardcore & if you're doing it consistently for years you're a stan
Drake's one of the biggest artists out because he has so many people that're so excited for everything he drops, people that in my eyes are stans. There's a very short list of artists that get crazy hype for everything they drop and that's for a reason
