Btw I don’t think the majority of critics get paid by artists or their circles, at least not for hip hop
If big hip hop artists are paying for streams why didn’t Kanye just pay streaming farms to outsell Drake?
Cause its bullshit.

Have you posted the Spotify numbers for today?
Spotify for instance already has a policy in place where a single user can only have 10 streams for a song count in a 24 hour period so if I play God's Plan 50 times in 1 day, only 10 of those streams count till the next day.
Cooking up streams isn't as easy as y'all think, especially in the last few years.
Do you have a source on this? And is spotify only platform that does this?
This is kinda crazy because when an album drops, if theres a song I really like I put it on loop. Im actually listening to it so I dont get why it wouldnt count

I honestly can't remember where I saw that but apparently it's a thing. If you stream a song on mute for too long, it'll be flagged. If you stop streaming a song just after 30 seconds and do that for multiple tracks, it'll be flagged. They have a bunch of rules like that to fight against bots and fake streams. That's why more tracks = more streams. A 10 track album can typically only have about 100 streams generated per user that plays each track 10 times. A 20-track album can generate double that.
You can keep streaming the songs obviously, but after 10 plays for each track, your streams stop counting for that day, I believe.
Maybe someone can find the info on that but I believe it's a thing.
was at the store and saw Harry album on vinyl already there, forgot he had physicals ready.
it's over
i know fans like to s*** on taylor swift stans, bts stans, etc. but harry stans are legitimately the worst mfs of all time. i dont mean that lightly
sooooooooo bad
It shows that we are just outsiders in the music biz. I can't imagine what boardroom meetings are like for artists lol.
As a big stepper, this s*** hurts man. I did my part and streamed 24/7 all week. where tf was everyone else
I don’t usually associate the music with the numbers but people had Kendrick at 700k and I told them it was ridiculous to think that so it’s clear Drake will always out sell I don’t know why people keep talking about Damn and More life lol

HITS has the album's first week streams at 310 million.
Mid-week they said it would do 350 million streams when they were basing the first week projection of 320k. This might not even hit 300k now

Billboard's numbers should be higher but f***ing yikes, man. Cole's album did 325.5M US streams and that was with 12 tracks.
"Records" like this are f***ing bogus imo. Too oddly specific to mean anything.
