Drake is the bigger artist (all-time) but from the 2020s on obviously the Weeknd is more popular. Drake hasn't had a stable hit in how long?

Part of that is the genre difference, pop has been on the rise in the 2020s and rap has been trending downwards, but I do agree that it’s been a while since Drake had what felt like an undeniable, long lasting hit

Lets end this once and for all. Drake is the most accomplished musician from the 2000’s and just about ever. Most #1’s, most streams, most single sales, most everything you can want. Biggest deal in music history. Artist of the decade. When its all said and done he will have an insane amount of diamond singles and diamond albums. He will retire with the most accolades possible. And his career started before this crappy streaming era. He’s dominated in BOTH games without gimmicks. There is no comparison between him and the weeknd.

This isn’t true. I can’t wait for his next album so you can all see how he fails at getting a top 10-15 global streaming debut once again!

    Then explain this:
Dawn FM dropped in January 2022
Drake dropped 1 album in June and 1 in November

But on Spotify's most streamed songs released in 2022, these are the numbers for the two:
    Drake:
    #32 - Jimmy Cooks
    #40 - Rich Flex

    The Weeknd:
#78 - Is There Someone Else
    #103 - Out Of Time

Weeknd songs were out for 11 months
Drake songs were out for 6 and 2 months and he still outperformed him lol

talking about "crappy streaming era" when all these records and accolades are because of streaming

He was dominating before it all. Streaming just helped other artist get a little closer. 99% of these guys would be selling 50k first week without streaming. And the longevity would be non existent. Also he won artist of the decade where guess what.. half of the decade there was no streaming lol
