except the overarching point being made here is that his “hits” aren’t as impactful as they were in the 2010s, versus saying Drake can’t make anything that charts

interesting the impact metric went out of the window after y’all stopped coping over Carnival but what’s new

    Nobody is coping over carnival
Matter fact nobody even mentioned carnival in here until yall decided to celebrate carnival going #1 as some sort of loss for Drake

is there really anyone out here willing to argue Slime U Out and First Person Shooter was just as big and inescapable as In My Feelings?

    anybody?

Certain hits aren’t as big as other hits
    Shocking revelation

seems like those two sentences are saying the same thing

No, they're not. You don't even know what argument you're trying to make.

Drake has dozens of songs that didn't even chart but have more impact than some of his songs that peaked at #1 so stick to one argument.

Dedication went from calling anyone who doesn’t do anything within the range of Nicki’s numbers a flop, now that Pink Friday is underperforming it’s “relative to the artist”

like i said, genuine scumbag activity lol

that sort of dishonesty where you don’t even have any actual stake in it outside of a parasocial relationship says a lot about your character

Its obvious you didnt read the chat and are just looking for a hit post.

no one was coping over carnival. responding to people who are lying and saying carnival is bigger than every drake song this decade is not cope.

They keep moving the goalpost and changing their argument.

Im still confused why drake is on their mind when they should just be celebrating carnival going #1
Bringing up Drake unprovoked is weirdo behavior

This is such a stupid argument because y'all keep deferring to the years where Drake scored his biggest career hits ever and you're using that as the baseline standard for how all his hits moving forward should have been when he has tons of other hits from before then that weren't as big but are still undisputably regarded as hits.

Songs like One Dance, Hotline Bling, God's Place, Nice for What & In My Feelings are Drake's biggest hits ever and some of the biggest rap hits ever on the Hot 100.

That's like you using Sicko Mode as the benchmark for any/all future Travis Scott hits to be regaded as a "real hit" when the chances are that he'll never score a hit that huge ever again.

Drake's hits from 2009 till like 2014 weren't mega smash hits on the charts. Doesn't change the fact that they were still massive rap hits. Using his hits from 2016-2018 (the period where he scored his biggest hits) as the benchmark for how huge all his hits moving forward have to be to be regarded as smash hits, is a foolish exercise and a ridiculous standard than no one else is held to.

Its like they are trying to find a gotcha moment by rallying behind anyone who they think can be used to one up drake. These are the same people saying Drake is over when dark lane went #2

I swear you said its not about how long it has to last in top 10.

Please understand the context of what I’m saying before replying to me.

Divine has been saying Carnival will be out of the Top 10 very soon so it can’t be a huge hit, I was pointing out the hypocrisy and irony in the fact that the 4batz Drake remix lasted exactly one week inside of the Top 10.
Again, using someone’s own logic against them.

    Common sense debating

It's already performed a lot better than any of Drake's remixes ever has so this ain't the drag you think it is lmao.

Always some caveat or excuse for Drake isn’t there

It’s the same argument essentially, just different phrasing

Drake doesn’t have mega hits anymore BECAUSE they aren’t as impactful as they used to be

Even before 2016, Drake had huge hits that were extremely impactful on culture. None of his 2020s hits have anywhere near the same effect

It’s exactly the same argument I was making.

Drake scored mega hit after mega hit in the 2010s. He doesn’t have ANY this decade.

If you think that he does, then you think a song like Rich Flex is on the same level of popularity as a song like Started From the Bottom or Over, or in that same echelon
