Feels good to not give a f*** about anyone's opinion but your own

I feel you and I am not even saying it to make fun of the album, I genuinely can't imagine sitting through it again. It's not bad but I thought it was very boring on the first listen. I might give it a shot once I am able to enjoy music more than I've been able to lately, but I really don't think my opinion on it will change.
It starts off slow. So i can honestly understand that. Esp if you not in the mood to listen to a guy spilling his feelings bout his s***addiction tbh. Dude really cheated for 15 years on his wife and this bout the therapy and revelations he went through
Better sequencing couldve helped it a bit with streaming, since the first couple tracks are mostly streamed best. Starting off an album w an experimental deep dive like United in Grief is maybe not a smart choice for a mainstream rapper. If he started it with Die Hard, Silent Hill, Rich Spirit you might've liked it more and gave the slower tracks a chance to grow
But yeah, if it doesnt interest you at all, that might not change on 2nd listen
"thats a w to me" copium
They were paid by cash app to post that’s a W
Don’t care about the excuses or what anyone says, that’s a really disappointing number
It’s like the 5 year hiatus didn’t help the hype at all, in fact he’s probably less popular now than he was before. Also this is significantly lower than the initial 325-350k projections so clearly people weren’t going back to the album. I honestly don’t think he was going for some no replay value all artistic album like people are saying, it isn’t TPAB. Die Hard, Purple Hearts, N95, Rich Spirit, Silent Hill, Count Me Out were all made to be easy and enjoyable listens.
Kendrick could make an album that sells 500k next year but he going back into his cave
Somethings in the water….

The sales vs critics war TPAB started on KTT1 in 2015 was something else
Never said that, my point is a bigger song (with other criteria such as it being in the same genre, same access/exposure, and a couple other things) is “better”. There’s a reason a song/album get more listens… its because people think it’s better lol
If Drake dropped song A and song B, both are rap songs, song A gets 1m listens, song B gets 100k listens, song A is (by general consensus) better.
eh, you have to account for the casual music fan — which is most people — that is not going out their way to discover good music. they just hittin play on the spotify discover playlists or drake and calling it a day.
good music doesn’t always get exposure if they don’t have the necessary industry connections. no way you think good art is always rewarded like that
We tried to warn Kendrick stans about being ghost for 5 years will hurt him in the long run, d***riding the same album for that long is not good for mental health as well.
but NOOOOO
They still thought he was gonna do numbers, smh tried to tell ‘em. Let it be a lesson learned.
