drake’s career obviously isn’t over, but he can’t keep acting like he’s not in the hot seat right now
he NEEDS to come back strong with something undeniable. that standard 2020s formula won’t hit the same anymore. and im saying this as someone whose enjoyment of FATD is well-documented
He doesn't need to do s***. None of the new school rappers make music as good as he does. Even his worst albums are better than theirs. No one puts up bigger numbers. No one is a bigger name and a bigger topic of conversation.
It's very silly to assume he needs to prove himself to anyone after running the game for longer than anyone else ever has. He just needs to keep making whatever music he wants to make. This is also why I'd like him to abandon rap for years. He doesn't even need to leave music. Just leave rap. Make an R&B or pop album and leave rap to figure itself out without your input and you constantly carrying.
