Did Dawn FM commercially underperform? Yes.
Was Dawn FM a flop? No.
Some of y'all live in extremes man

you're all actually arguing over which company that YOU DONT WORK FOR is earning more money
bros neeeeeed to witness a lady irl
Weeknd had multiple hits that grabbed the public's attention prior to BL as well.
But BL is another level above that, that's the point.
And April 2016 was not before the streaming era what are you talking about
Streaming grew by like 2-3x since apr 2016 is what i'm talkin about. People were still buying music (outside of bundles) a lot back then
and yea that's my point. Artists at that level should have a giant hit almost every albuim, especially at their peak, which you guys have been saying The Weeknd is at atm

One of Drake’s biggest albums does not have a giant hit
lol which
CLB
It’s one of his most successful albums sales wise but not a single song on there has even surpassed a billion streams yet

Really? It was a flop compared to his discog last I checked lol, probably cause of the no hits

It’s his third highest album on Billboard right now, and has not left the chart since it dropped.
It was extremely successful commercially and has no giant hit.
Which goes back to my point: a mainstream artist’s album is not a flop if that album doesn’t have a #1 or doesn’t have a giant, long-standing hit (CLB had a #1 but it didn’t have a song that became a mainstay on the charts)

On the flipside, Honestly, Nevermind was a complete commercial flop but had one song that was huge.
One single song does not determine whether or not an entire album was successful or not
