I remember at the time top 3-4 songs were getting 600 points which is super high. I think first time in history.

Pretty good for an album without a promo run (visual interviews, singles, release date announcement & whatever) and a suprise drop late into Friday tbh

Same ones who swore that whatever album he dropped after the beef would do massive numbers because he had all the momentum and all the eyes on him after the beef are the same ones coming up with every excuse in the book as to why the album might not outstream Mr. Morale afterall

I think it just furthers my point about how all these rappers + streaming as a platform basically peaked around 2017 popularity wise and there hasn't been growth for the rappers or "streaming" since. at least in the US

same for The Weeknd

Streaming in the US peaked in 2018 but yeah, now more than ever, it's definitely not as easy amassing streams as a rapper as it was from 2017-2019. Country has a chunk of the streaming pie now, same with pop and so as a rapper, to amass streams, people really have to tune in to your album and keep showing up to listen to it weeks after it drops for those numbers to be sustained.
