It’s just stupid when people then try to use those records as proof of a successful song.

If it debuted at #3 and fell off the chart never to return again, that shouldn’t really be considered a Top 10 hit for the artist

A top 10 hit means it was top 10 for at least a week, no more or less depending

Some people understand that and some don't

No need to weigh the opinion high of the ones that don't

    Everything has a context

a song like Reincarnated going top 10 is powerful

You said it died in 2019. That’s not true.

Yeezy did $1.3 billion in revenue in 2019

    $1.7 billion in 2020.

    And $1.7 billion in 2021.

And it still did $1.3 billion in 2022 before it was terminated at the end of the year for obvious reasons.

After it was terminated, adidas sales in North America declined by 20%

People still wear Yeezy shoes, slides, and Pods today. Even at its cultural position right now, it’s still infinitely more known and notable than whatever the f*** Nocta is

Nocta is bigger than Yeezy ever was. Is see people wear Nocta all the time

Never seen anyone wear actual Yeezy’s, only fake ones

I don't agree tbh. Because some of these top 10 pop songs only stay top 10 due to getting pushed on radio heavy...

Come the end of the year that top 10 album song that fall down the charts may end up with more listens than the radio pushed single that stayed in there for few weeks

Yeah, I think "weeks on chart" is more important.

I'd rather have a hit like "Goosebumps" (never went top 10 but was on the chart for almost a year) over "Trollz"

I did some research after y’all replies

…it looks like the more people got to dictate the hot 100 the more of a grip Christmas songs got. I think people just wanna listen to Christmas music y’all. Go look up the biggest streaming days ever

in a twist of events it looks like radio was preventing Christmas songs from taking over the Hot 100 and streaming encourages it

Only couple minutes of research backed the argument I was making

With Christmas music specifically though, I think people want to put themselves in this mood and spirit surrounding the holiday to feel something, most likely nostalgia, because the feeling is waning as more people realize it's just consumerism
