It’s unlikely since the GNX physicals release on February 7th, so they’ll affect the tracking week of the 7th to the 13th. The Super Bowl is on the 9th, so Kendrick’s discography will most likely receive that SB bump for that same tracking week.

By 2/14, all initial orders of GNX physicals will have shipped out by then and the SB bump for Kendrick should be dying down.

The only thing that would affect it is if Kendrick decided to drop a GNX deluxe that same week

I feel like this album is gonna be Drake worst first week. PND isn’t bringing any interest, this isn’t Rap, his own label beefing with him….

Also while the release date makes sense to an extent, it is still bad timing. Kendrick’s SuperBowl boost will be the week before AND he’s releasing physicals that week. It could build into a high sales week for the following week too….

i feel like this depends if its a whole ass project or literally "SOME" sexy songs. the thought it dropping it for valentines day sounds like a pretty solid thing to just throw out there if its just a few joints

Nah, it’s a legitimate reason.

A Written Testimony, which is basically an uncredited Jay Z collab album, only sold 31K first week.

ColleGrove, an uncredited Lil Wayne collab album, only sold 53K first week.

Both of those titles would’ve debuted significantly higher if the featured artists received a collab album credit
