They would never tease it this early for being a short EP. I heavily expect 14 or 16 tracks

It won’t be enough of a boost to significantly impact a brand new Drake & Party album if it’s already been out for 3 days by the time the D&P album drops

Kendrick can easily have a scenario of like

80k week before SuperBowl
200k week of SuperBowl
100-150k week after

Depending on the rollout and the quality/interest I’m really not entirely sold this collab project will easily do over 150k

I'll be concerned about numbers for the solo album. For this album, I'm just ready for some new Drake music. I already don't see this doing more than 200k first week.

Because he is literally setting up this entire release being overshadowed by Kendrick drama if it gets blocked. Like it’s just OBJECTIVELY not smart to do that while trying to lay low and move on from it.

If he released it down the line and it performed however, ofcourse it’ll get some discourse and trolling here and there but nothing as purposely sabotaging as being blocked by Kendrick of all people right after Kendrick has a career highlight week and Drake drops his first project post-beef.

For the foreseeable future, people will try to use Kendrick to clown anything Drake does. He was just performing at a Karaoke Bar the other day and folks are using that to act like he doesn't have arena shows lined up and saying stuff like "Kendrick is doing the Super Bowl and he's playing bars". If people wanna clown Drake, they don't need a reason.

You just have to get to a point where all the negative internet chatter about Drake doesn't move you anymore. Everyone should know that the main album everyone is waiting for is his next solo rap project. This is a sidebar project, the same way all his other collab albums have been.

No one can predict whether or not he'll get blocked that day so why bother worrying about that? I'm just glad to be getting new music and you should be too.

I also think he just wants to get this project out the way so he can start prepping to drop his solo rap album and address all the f***shit that's been happening. I won't be surprised if that projects drop by June or even earlier.

Nothing you said goes against what I said: it is inevitable beef drama will continue to be associated with his name for the foreseeable future.

However choosing the one period of 2025 where he will go directly against Kendrick again and get potentially directly overshadowed is BEYOND stupid and at this point encouraging the beef-stain to continue 10x more

It doesn’t really matter if he had the date set one year in advance. For the sake of good PR if he had sense this likely should’ve been moved to another time. A month later even would be fine.

Drake will possibility set up the biggest chart embarrassment of 2025 if he debuts behind Kendrick with a new album.

Something he could have EASILY avoided by just….not releasing the same exact week Kendrick does SuperBowl, drops physicals, and has a possible deluxe. Any other period. Absolutely any other period.

The Super Bowl is on the 9th. The album drops 5 days later. Regardless of when the album dropped, it was never going to do massive numbers anyways so why are you scared of people using the album's performance to clown Drake? They're gonna do that anyways when it doesn't do 400k first week, whether or not he gets blocked by Kendrick.

I personally don't care to be bothered about whether or not Kendrick blocks him. We don't know how much of a boost the Super Bowl will or won't provide to Kendrick and even then, it'll likely last a couple days and will count for the chart week before Drake's album drops and if he wants to drop a deluxe in the same week as Drake to be petty then so be it. Who cares?

The week in the media will undeniably be Kendrick’s week. The one week of the entire year he is talked about the most.

Like this is just something that anyone with common sense would’ve advised against. If he had managers, an actual relationship with his label, etc. But he still insists on being anti-establishment and running his own show. And so yet again, he is setting himself up to unnecessarily look dumb.

Don't you get it? What's stopping Kendrick from waiting till whenever Drake decides to drop this album in the year to drop his deluxe and step on it?
