he’s saying the fact that a song from this album went #1 on the AM chart despite luther and NLU pulling massive numbers on AM right now is impressive and i have to agree. even if this album puts up mediocre numbers on spotify AM will probably carry it to over 250k first week based on its performance so far

Meh, I don’t think it’s really all that impressive. Was anyone expecting the album to not hit #1 on Apple Music the day of its’ release? Even in spite of GNX’s boost?
Sure, luther is doing great, but one song isn’t overtaking a brand new 21 track Drake album. That was expected.
Honestly, Nevermind went #1 on Apple Music in four hours too, then barely cleared 200K first week. Let’s see how stable it remains over the week. Pretty good album though.

i think you’re misunderstanding me, it’s not about the album itself going #1 it’s about a song from the album going #1 over luther and NLU which means the album has at least one song that will debut with 4-5 million streams on US AM, a good sign that it’s doing really well on that platform
