Not really a big deal… NC Tower is the first track so naturally everyone who checked out the album played it first. If a song from the middle or near the end had made it to #1 that would’ve been more impressive. Luther will be back at #1 on the next update.

NLU and Luther are gonna block all 21 tracks. Luther’s holding #1 for at least a week probably longer until something bigger comes out in March. I also think Drake’s album will peak on day one and then a steep drop.

I still think this album sells more than Drake’s next solo project. Fans have been waiting on this for months he’s got 21 tracks and it dropped on Valentines day. Anything under 300K would be disappointing imo.

Drake’s album generated a lot of buzz not only due to the SB performance but also cause everyone wanted to hear his response and how he’d bounce back. His next solo album could easily sell less especially if he finally drops a project thats way shorter than 21 tracks and a surprise drop.

Why are y'all worried about a song from $$$4U going #1? Even if a song did, it wouldn't spend more than a single week at #1 because Luther is very strong and stable on streaming and has solid radio numbers to back it up. It'd just have to wait another week before going #1.

This was never the album to use to get a read on Drake's commercial standing. This was the album to see that he was still able to make great music and deliver something his fanbase enjoys and f***s with for the most part. Anyone trying to compare the performance of this album to that of GNX is being delusional. Save those takes for his next solo album.

He's already promoting his next solo album because he knows that's the album that really counts. He even addressed this album as "just a small token" for fans who never stopped f***ing with him.

They can do that, that's fine. They did the same thing, ignoring all context when DAMN outsold More Life in 2017 and did the same thing when Honestly, Nevermind debuted with 204k in 2022.
