She’ll still do a mill. Just not 2.6 mill that her last album did
Yall think Labels will still find a loophole through this?
free shipping on the physicals
deluxe albums with a s*** load of songs instead of multiple spread across
Yall think Labels will still find a loophole through this?
Its not that strict honestly
free shipping on the physicals
deluxe albums with a s*** load of songs instead of multiple spread across
This is just gonna create even more gimmicks and loopholes. This isn’t stopping the labels from labeling
Which of Drakes biggest hits are rnb? Lol
I'd argue that none of Drake's songs are actually R&B, including this newest album. But since people tend to think anything that involves singing a melody as r&b these days, take your pick.
An album sale through streaming generates ~$3.75 btw
And we supposed to believe that streaming > pure sales
free shipping on the physicals

I AM MUSIC Deluxe with 40 songs, we eating
I never said it was all the Carti fans
Also we don’t know what the digital sales numbers are for MUSIC yet. But the only “deluxe” song is a song that’s been out since 2023, so I doubt the digital sales will be that high
Nobody is buying digital albums in large loads in 2025 even if there is an extra song on it. That s*** was always fishy for every artist.
Weeknd was also selling signed CDs & signed Vinyls and they didn’t even sell as much as a digital album with a bonus track.
You really think his mega fans went on his website and opted for a f***ing digital album more than actual PHYSICAL SIGNED copies that were $10 and even had free shipping at one point?
2020 era of double album deluxes will be back lmfao

Nah stans buy digital albums thats the only people buying them.

If Drake did it you wouldn’t think twice. Stop saying that every artist you don’t like doing something is a conspiracy.
Nah stans buy digital albums thats the only people buying them.
Correct.
The fact Drake was only able to pull 250k, even after participating in the most watched rap event in decades, shows that he won’t outsell GNX with his next one
From a collab with PND lmao
It’s not like he dropped a solo project
Kendrick had the most hype out of the two and only sold 100k more than his last album
He should’ve done DAMN numbers with the amount of hype around him post-beef
Nah stans buy digital albums thats the only people buying them.
Surprises me how many people don’t just wait for it to leak and put it in their local files for upload to DSPs
Nah stans buy digital albums thats the only people buying them.
Even 99% of stans don’t give a f*** about digital albums. Buying an album digitally is some rare ass niche thing at this point that about 150 people total in the entire country will do.
You’re not convincing me he had more fans interested in a digital bonus track than actual physical signed albums
Yall think Labels will still find a loophole through this?
Seems like they've effectively closed all loop holes. They've announced MULTIPLE changes, not just 1 or 2 changes like in the past.
This is just gonna create even more gimmicks and loopholes. This isn’t stopping the labels from labeling
i could see them start giving discount codes to get more orders in
I think we ALL forget sometimes that monoculture is dead and popularity is a lot more splintered and niche these days.
Just because YOU don’t believe that 50K Lil Baby fans bought digital copies of an album, that doesn’t mean that it actually didn’t happen.
The nigga fills up arenas across the country. 50K sales is not a stretch of the imagination.
I don’t listen to Rod Wave a day in my life but that nigga has an actual audience that shows up every time he drops an album or has a tour date. I’m not just gonna call conspiracy if he dropped a digital album and it moved 100K units simply because I don’t engage in his niche.
I'll still buy a digital album for a smaller artist I like since I don't have much space for more vinyls. I have to be selective with that. It's more so to support the artist than anything. I'd never do it for a big time artist like Kendrick or Drake though.
they need to increase the weight of streaming! the last time they did was in 2019 for f***s sake

S*** like this is just so overly generalizing and weird. Did you ask 99% of stans this question?
Seems like they've effectively closed all loop holes. They've announced MULTIPLE changes, not just 1 or 2 changes like in the past.
You can still have as many physical and streaming variants as you want.
They seem to only be targeting digital album sales on the artists website.
I think the pricing s*** is a little weak. The only ones that’s hurting is the fans. If an artist wants to take a financial loss on physical copies by selling them for cheaper, that’s on them. Don’t punish the fans for their decisions
Yeah I see Vinyl Sales dropping for the most part
I don’t see people shelling out $17 dollars per Album release for a Vinyl unless they’re collectors of some sort
