I doubt people will be rooting for Morgan Wallen here like that here. I know we got closet racists here but cheering for Morgan Wallen is pretty much walking around with a confederate flag.
Maybe if he dropped during a Drake week
Maybe if he dropped during a Drake week
hellll no
we gettin that drake album to 1m first week if that happens
You posting something from 7 years ago perfectly explains the growth
You’ll always be remembered for being a b****
Maybe if he dropped during a Drake week
Na Drake a Karen like you, b**** made but still not as low as MAGA trash.
Every Drake album is well received among Drake stans, they literally eat up whatever he drops, her bringing up that point is moot
The average fan doesn’t give a f*** about that album
views & more life & hnvm were very panned by drake stans lmao
Bruh i try to give benefit of doubt but she really mentally ill and obsessed at glazing at a delusional level. It's actually sad to see.
"most well-received albums ever by his listenership". Where at? Album doing less than 1/3 his most commercial albums, falling behind months old albums already, first album that failed to give a auto-matic number one hit in a while
Or are we talking about well received critically but s*** is panned af there too.
less than 1/3 his most commercial albums? Smh lies
$$$ has performed much better than everyone expected, lets cut the s***
Tgd crashed out a bit but you've got a guy saying Carti is the hottest rapper in the game rn and no one's giving them s*** except her madness
I'm happy dude got his numbers but the music is f***ing terrible. It sucks. And there's much better music to listen to out there, which is why all the songs off the album are dropping like crazy on Spotify/Apple Music despite this being dude's first album in over 4 years.
Drake just dropped one of his most well-received albums ever by his listenership, has a potential smash hit on his hands and is hard at work on his next solo album (which likely is more anticipated now than it was a few months ago). I think he'll be fine that he was left off "the most anticipated album of the decade" that no one will ever talk about after this week lmao.
Point: "there's much better music to listen to."
Evidence: "this is shown by the songs dropping off the charts"
Literally sales = quality type post
You’ll always be remembered for being a b****

Consider this our first and last interaction

What rapper is hotter? Do you guys interact with hip hop or people into hip hop outside of looking at billboard charts?

When you're talking about this, do you mean in the last week or something? Because sure, if you're solely looking at the last WEEK then Carti is the hottest. But that's dumb because whoever dropped most recently is gonna be hottest then.
Using the same logic, Lady Gaga is hotter than Sabrina and Taylor Swift.
Kendrick to me is 5x+ hotter than Carti right now

I’m talking about from 2021-now. Post WLR Carti has had the most anticipated album, he’s been the most impactful, the most imitated, and the most influential

Oh so hottest to you isn't a popularity or fame thing, it's more of an influence thing. I see
So Thugger was one of the hottest rappers around 2018 to you i'm guessing
Any woman who defends an adult groping and kissing minors on stage because he made some hits can get the smoke
Y'all can stop with this bs defense anytime TGD is criticised. Lowkey even more sexist and condescending than someone calling her a b****, you're saying that she should get special treatment on here just because she's a woman
white knighting against verbal attacks is ironically sexist, assumes a woman can’t defend herself

“Hottest in the game” isn’t just one thing. It encompasses many areas.

If not him then who
Prob Kendrick
Carti's juice could easily expire very easily now, just like what happened with Uzi with EA. EA had such insane hype, same as WLR pretty much - now people barely care about him

EA to WLR comp makes so sense. WLR style was copied pretty much instantly. Go listen to Yeat before and after WLR
Kendrick did his thing during the beef and dropped a smash album but MUSIC was always the real prize in terms of albums that everyone wanted
Being "hot" has to translate to s*** that actually matters, like quality of music being released, impact or influence you can quantify. Numbers also factor into that.
Carti just dropped a 30-track dumpster fire that everyone has mostly moved on from already. If that s*** cracks 100k+ in week 2, it'll only be because its a 30-song album. It's not an album that'll generate any longstanding interest or conversation. I don't care for dude's music, but I can at least testify to Whole Lotta Red being an album I saw people in certain spaces keep referencing and having conversations about years after its release. His latest album has none of that. Zero standout tracks, all pure garbage. Dude had Kendrick make not 1, not 2 but 3 appearances on his album that all didn't amount to s*** because the album is just that forgettable lmao. Dude recruited the avengers on his album and it all was a waste of everyone's time.
Doesn't matter that the album was "anticipated." All of that is done now because it ended up being a wack album that people are already deciding isn't worth their time.
The "kids" might f*** with Carti's music, but to truly impact culture, your music has to transcend just degenerate 15 year-old white boys liking your s***. Travis was once in that box till he dropped ASTROWORLD, an album that legitimately cut through and truly established him across multiple demographics in rap. Maybe Carti drops an album that manages to do that one day but as of now, he hasn't done so.

Who are you to decide that the album is trash for everyone?
People called Whole Lotta Red trash en masse when it first released as well.
The initial reception for MUSIC has been much more positive across the board than the initial reception for WLR was. It’s also still #1 on Apple Music and projected to get a second week at #1 selling between 120K-140K, so I’m really not sure where you’re coming up with the narrative that people are already moving on.
How is what you’re saying any different from people trashing modern day Drake albums and them only doing numbers because they’re 22+ tracks long?
If not him then who
Nigga, just stop. You clearly like Carti and that's fine but dude is simply in the position Travis was in from like 2014-2017 (without the half-decent music being churned out).
Teenage white boys f***ing with him doesn't make him the most anything. The only step you can't skip in this music s*** to truly becoming established and having real impact is that your music has to be good and it has to connect with more than just a niche audience. Carti makes unlistenable garbage that y'all can't stop hyping up for reasons I'll never understand. His music isn't moving anyone or changing anything.
