EA to WLR comp makes so sense. WLR style was copied pretty much instantly. Go listen to Yeat before and after WLR

Kendrick did his thing during the beef and dropped a smash album but MUSIC was always the real prize in terms of albums that everyone wanted

How is MUSIC the real prize when people are already back listening to albums that dropped MONTHS ago more than the album that's barely 2 weeks old?

Because it was the most anticipated

Nigga, just stop. You clearly like Carti and that's fine but dude is simply in the position Travis was in from like 2014-2017 (without the half-decent music being churned out).

Teenage white boys f***ing with him doesn't make him the most anything. The only step you can't skip in this music s*** to truly becoming established and having real impact is that your music has to be good and it has to connect with more than just a niche audience. Carti makes unlistenable garbage that y'all can't stop hyping up for reasons I'll never understand. His music isn't moving anyone or changing anything.

This ASTROWORLD point is so disingenuous. Y’all have said for years that Travis only did numbers because of bundle gimmicks and now you’re trying to act like it was some transcendent album that crossed generations.

It was never that, it was literally huge amongst high schoolers and older Gen Z and that’s it. No 30+ year olds were bumping SICKO MODE back in 2018

Okay and now it has dropped and every song is dropping like a rock on every streaming service while songs released months ago are rising. People are already quickly moving on from the album because they've decided its not worth their time. What use is anticipation if you can't deliver something that people can at least decide is worth their time and keep going back to, at least for the first few months?

And yet, Kendrick is the one with the album still in the top 3. He's the one with songs people are still listening to 4 months after. He's the one people are still talking about (even outside the context of the beef). Miss me with that Carti s***, man.

The same can be said about $$$4U yet you’re acting like that album is some huge success

You just don’t like Carti’s music. I don’t get why you’re trying to project your opinion onto everyone else

  • I hate country music with all my being but you’re not gonna see me in a Morgan Wallen album thread calling it garbage, it’s just not my lane. I’ll never understand people who s*** on things that just aren’t for them

You have to actually deliver good music and do s*** that's culturally impactful to be the "hottest in the game." A couple of features that didn't amount to s*** doesn't give you that title. Carti isn't moving anything. He isn't dictating s***. And it ALL starts with the actual music, not the hope of what the music might be or might do.

“Good music” is completely subjective. Your opinion does not speak for everyone.

Whole Lotta Red is easily the most influential rap album of the 2020s, so he is quite literally moving and dictating the sound of rap music this decade.

That’s why your man ran to him to get a feature when he was rolling that album out, and tried sneak dropping another one when he was rolling this album out

She forgets that Drake wanted to appeal to the youth so he ran to get Yeat on For All The Dogs… a nigga that got his entire sound and style from Carti
