Not all #1s are indeed equal. Being #1 for 11 weeks is far more impressive than being #1 for 3 weeks but manage to cling onto the top 10 for some more weeks.

We are talking about the undisputed most popular song in the country for 11 weeks vs being one of the most popular songs.

But I am a fan of adding context to numbers. And adding context to NLU is to realize why it took off to begin with. An assist.

Context is important. That's the entire purpose of this thread. Unfortunately many users - who all support the same guy - have ruined this thread with their no-knowledge having posts about charts where they can't add context to numbers so the level has fallen off a cliff. Always adding context to numbers can be quite tiring when idiots come in and try to stir up a hornet's nest by debating like idiots. You get tired so you either just refuse to debate with them or stoop to their level.

Context: not like us was the biggest song in the USA in 2024

I have no interest in wasting my time talking about this with someone who didn't experience the moment. You posting sales is proof that you just don't quite get it. Not your fault that you weren't there, but just don't try to add yourself into a debate that you aren't qualified to have.

People who were there when it popped off know how big it was.

I was there and The Hills was bigger than that corny hotline bling song. That’s why it blocked hotline bling from going number 1 and caused Drake to cry.

KTT ATTENTION🚨🚨🚨: for those of you who want to support Drake and his career to make sure the album doesn’t go triple aluminum foil...make sure to download a digital copy of the album...

If you purchased the digital download of $$$ 4 U from the OVO Sound shop, make sure you actually download it

By doing this you’ll receive a digital copy of the album and an Axe spray in three different $cents...click download and help Drake reach Gold...

I feel like they wont give him that many. At most I can see is 4 to pass jayz or 3 to tie him.

They will probably give him rap album then luther or 30 for 20 will get 1 or 2. Then maybe aoty if they go that direction.

Yeah that’s possible. Tbh I wouldnt mind if Tyler or Carti won the Grammy for Rap album...they both deserve it.

It was the "obvious" song to push but yeah. Nokia was always gonna be the standout. Kendrick's camp did the same thing with songs off GNX. Squabble Up and TV Off got pushed as singles first because they're the obvious bops but Luther quickly emerged as the biggest hit of the album and it's now benefitting from the late push.

Nokia will eventually benefit from not being pushed right out the gate, especially if it starts catching on with radio audiences.

Unfortunately no, it wasn't. Would've been good if it was as we all want to see rap winning but nope.

The Billboard chart was the end all be all for you lot yesterday, as the final placement was the only thing that mattered and nothing else - according to YOU GUYS.

    So, applying your logic:

''Not Like Us'' was not in the top 5 of the end of year chart for Hot 100 in 2024. So no, it wasn't the biggest song in the us in 2024.

    What do you mean?

Anyone who was there knows that Not Like Us was the biggest song nearly everywhere in the world, but the way the Hot 100 was calculated at the time doesn’t reflect that
