Surprised it took 24 hours.
Idk how the YT algorithm works but it seems it had to surpass the Big X video in order to be #1 even tho it was gaining way more views in a shorter amount of time

You gotta be wired a…special way to take those lyrics or that post anyway but weird af no matter the context
People actually streaming this is crazy 😂😂
People still listening to this on the daily should be put on a FBI watchlist

Fr I heard it again in a reaction video a few months ago and even then I was like yeah I ain’t gonna go out my way to listen to this. Just makes everything dark af 😂
This insanely disrespectful to SZA
there’s a reason he had her on the song and not any other female vocalist
Don’t agree that she “carried” but this is crazy
Dawg, nothing SZA doing on that song is vocally challenging or demanding. Tons of other artists he could've used with similar results

Not the same vibe as the song but at about 4:05, she hitting SZA's part and this is live
Blinding Payola
Stupid discussion because its really
Kendrick verse is goated and Sza hook is the final push to make it a masterpiece
What was SZA doing on that chorus that couldn't have been done by Jhene Aiko, Beyonce or any other female vocalist? Saying she carried a song because of a chorus that was written for her with a tutorial on how to sing it on a bigger artist's song is stupid
By that logic, Elkan carried Nokia because the hook is clearly the best and most beloved part of the song
Not responding to any Drake stans replying to my posts about All the Stars until they reply to this one
SZA carried Kendrick in 2018, even though Kendrick had just sold 603 000 fw his last album in 2017 while SZA sold 60 000 fw her last album the same year. Literally 10x less sales but you're trying to say she carried him like he was some unknown artist
Kendrick wrote the part, recorded it with the cadence and everything. He could've gotten Kilo Kish, Jhene Aiko, any female vocalist to do her part. He didn't need SZA specifically for the song, SZA didn't make the song big. If you're going to hate, at least use some logic while doing it
The song needed a strong singer to carry the song. The hook literally makes all the stars what it is.

Oh brother it’s always something

If an artist has their part written for them can they no longer "carry" a song?

elkan did carry nokia but it’s intentional, just like sza on all the stars
god forbid an artist writes a catchy hook that’s meant to be the standout moment of the track

It's incorrect to say that artist carried that song when they're a feature on a way bigger artist's song and that bigger artist wrote the part, even knew how he wanted it to sound and recorded a reference to give the feature a guide. Who is more essential to the song? That's why I said All the Stars doesn't exist without Kendrick Lamar, you can't say the same about SZA. He could've taken the song to Jhene Aiko, Jorja Smith, Beyonce etc and the outcome would be similar. So how can you say she carried?
If Asap Rocky had what people considered the best verse on F***in Problems but there was a reference track of Drake rapping the verse, would you say Drake got carried by Rocky even though Drake co-produced the beat, put the 2Chainz hook on it, spat a verse on the song and Drake wrote Rocky's verse?
That's what it boils down to, how can you say X artist got carried by Y artist because their part is the "best part" when X artist did most of the work and was more essential to the final product?

Drake kept Elkan on the hook of Nokia because he had the sense to recognize that his vocals worked. Kendrick did the same when he decided to have SZA sing the hook of All the Stars. It's really not that hard to understand. Some people just wanna be obtuse lol.

Alicia keys didnt write unthinkable remix but she carried that song. Singers can 100% carry a song without writing it.

If Drake was bigger in 2009 and there was a reference track of Drake singing Alicia's parts meaning her contributions to the final product were minimal, I would not think Alicia Keys carried Drake on the song
Most people don't even know about the remix, they know the Alicia Keys song with the Drake background vocal touches. So that's just an Alicia Keys song (written by Drake) to most people. Not quite the same as All the Stars, a Kendrick song ft SZA with SZA's parts already written and recorded by Kendrick when she was asked to be on the song

It’s not about whether it’s a vocally challenging song or not. Technical skill isn’t the end-all and SZA elevated the song significantly. It’s not the same with anyone else

I disagree that SZA is the only person in the world who could've possibly done the chorus on All The Stars and have it turn out the way it did. If that's what you're saying, I don't want to discuss it further because I just don't agree
